Limousin farmhouse with private pool on Correze / Dordogne border
A 250 year old farmhouse set in its own five acres of land, an oasis of peace and privacy in unspoilt countryside, on the outskirts of the sleepy, medieval village of Segur-Le-Chateau nestling on the banks of the Auvezere. An idyllic setting offering spacious, comfortable accommodation, secluded gardens and your own private pool for boisterous fun and games with your family or relaxation with your latest novel. An ideal spot to venture east into Correze, a quiet undiscovered land of forests, hills and secret valleys and west to rivers, caves and the familiar beauty of the Dordogne.

Great Summer Treat

Review Submitted: August 27, 2008, Date of stay: July, 2008
We had a fantastic time at Le Grangeau. The cottage was clean and tidy and very well looked after. The pool was excellent and even reasonably warm! We all enjoyed cooling off and the children were particularly content to splash around for hours (days?!) on end. They had a fine time too around the rest of the grounds; exploring, finding insects, meeting animals etc etc.
We went on long and short walks in the surrounding countryside and into Segur. The farmers evening there was fun and friendly and we also ate very well at the local restaurants. This is a beautiful part of France and we particularly enjoyed canoeing down stunning valleys and through remote woods and fields.
Suzanne and Ian who own Le Grangeau were lovely people who made us very welcome. Their help was discrete and pertinent.
I would recommend staying here to anybody. It is a peaceful yet stimulating place. You can lounge around relaxing, explore locally, walk to restaurants etc and go further afield as you wish. We all enjoyed ourselves enormously and we hope to return next Summer!.
