This lovely manor house is set in an acre of enclosed parkland, on the wooded banks of the River Allier. The 300m2 of living space consists of a large Drawing room with marble fireplace and four tall windows. The large sitting room has two tall windows with views onto the river. There are five spacious bedrooms, three with en suite showers and one private bathroom. There is also a shower off the kitchen for the ground floor bedroom. This bedroom also has it own adjoining study/sitting room. The house is decorated with some English and French antique furniture. The newly equipped kitchen/dining room contains an electric oven and a gas cooker with oven & hob, a large American style fridge-freezer, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Leading off from this, there is a petite dining room. The 10m x 5m swimming pool is situated in a fenced side-garden, Bicycles, table tennis, badminton, and some fishing equipment are available.

Nearest Airport: Lyon at 225 Kilometres
Nearest Ferry: Calais at 545 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: A77 Nevers at 14 Kilometres
The house is on the border of three fascinating areas of France. Within one hours drive you are in the heart of Burgundy sampling Sancerre and Pouilly fume. In another direction you can follow the Berry route and end up back in Bourges. If you like modern architecture go and visit the City of Gold – fascinating. There is a boulangerie in Mornay sur Allier. For day-to-day purchases either of the supermarkets in Sancoins are fine and there is also a full range of other shops. Market day is on Wednesday in Sancoins and there are good local producers. Bourges, Never and Moulins all have hypermarkets and other good shops and in Moulin there is a shop selling wine ‘en vrac’ which is very good value.
