Moulin de Maulne loire valley gites are situated in delightful surroundings with a luxury heated pool for friends and families on vacation in the Indre et Loire (department 37) of France. The properties are spacious and comfortably furnished with large living space and well-equipped kitchens with dining table and chairs. The bedrooms are light and airy with amazing uninterrupted views over the garden to the countryside beyond. Each property has super-king size beds (2m x 2m) with 4 pillows and duvet and good storage for your clothes. The bathrooms each have a large shower with excellent pressure, wc and wash hand basin. Linen and towels are provided. The properties share the 12m professional grade pool (heated from June to October to 28 degrees). The surrounding terrace is wide enough and there are sufficient sunloungers and chairs to comfortably accommodate all our guests. The owners are on site.

The property is ideal for couples seeking a comfortable base with modern conveniences for their holiday. The Stables was recently converted into this charming and spacious holiday home and has been specifically designed for couples who want a property of good quality but don't require lots of bedrooms. It has a large living space with sofa and chairs, TV/DVD player, well-equipped kitchen with gas hob and oven and dining table with 2 chairs. The living space leads through to a light, airy bedroom with super-king size bed (2m x 2m) and good storage for your clothes. The en-suite bathroom has a large walk-in shower, wc and wash hand basin. Linen and towels are provided. The Stables has two patio areas, one to the south and one to the north with table and chairs on both and you are obviously welcome to find your own spot in the 4 acres of garden. It is situated about 50m from the 12m heated pool.

30 Minutes drive from Tours, Saumur, Chinon, Azay-Le-Rideau and Le Mans. 60 mins from Angers, Chenonceau, Vouvray and Amboise, Orleans. 10 mins from 18 hole golf course at Chateau Sept Tours near Courcelles. Visit the gardens of Villandry or the International Garden Festival at Chaumont. Prefer history, then the chateaux of Le Lude, Usse, Langeais are all a short drive. Vineyards and wine tasting for the professional and amateur alike is an enjoyable day out. Try sparkling white Cremant, red St Nicolas de Bourgueil, rose Azay le Rideau or white Saumur-Champigny. Or if you prefer to relax in the garden there is a river stocked with trout for a spot of fishing; badminton, table tennis, boules and games; or just a hammock in the shade of an old tree with a good book. In the evenings there are several Michelin recommended restaurants nearby or use the large barbecue to cook produce from one of our many local markets and sit under the vines of the large table to enjoy your meal.

The Grainstore at Moulin de Maulne has a contempoary interior within a contrasting old stone mill house. It is nestled amongst stunning flowers in a peaceful rural location.
We've had 3 great holidays here and loved the swimming pool, table tennis, BBQ (with Mark's great cooking!) and borrowing the bikes. There are so many quiet tracks along fields of sunflowers and maize to explore and fords to cycle through!
Grainstore is extremely clean and well maintained. Mark, Corrina and Lulu make you very welcome.
The Grange Crêperie in Château La Valliere has delicious choices for everyone.
We can't wait for next summer!

Spent a very relaxing 2 weeks at Moulin de Maulne. Very comfortable and clean accomodation and friendly hosts. The pool was excellent for the children as was the surrounding grounds and countryside. The gite is too far out of the adjacent town to allow cycling in for bread and croissant in the morning but it is only a few minutes in the car. We managed to visit chateaus, cycle, walk and kayak on the Loire and still felt relaxed.

Our recent holiday at Le Moulin de Maulne, staying in the Grainstore was fantastic. The location was perfect for exploring the Loire valley and the area surrounding the accommodation was peaceful and beautiful. It was perfect for a family holiday, allowing us to get out and about and at the same time providing the opportunity for us to relax and chill out.
The accommodation itself was excellent. We had plenty of space and everything we needed was there, the bedrooms in particular were lovely with comfortable beds and stunning views. The facilities on offer were great too, the boys particularly enjoyed using the pool, table tennis and badminton equipment. Most of all they enjoyed the space to run around, especially with Lulu the dog.
Mark and Corinna were super 'hosts': friendly, helpful and informative. Their relaxed style helped make this a great holiday for us all.

Wonderful stay in the Tackroom

We had a brilliant, relaxing stay in the one bedroom Tackroom, which is immaculate, beautifully presented and comfortable. Owners Mark and Corinna do everything to make sure your stay is enjoyable - especially good to arrive on a hot day after a long drive to find food and drink (welcome pack) in the fridge. The pool is gorgeous and the gardens beautiful - it was tempting to stay in one of the comfortable deck chairs or in the pool and not leave the property, but the local area is well worth exploring. Take advantage of Mark and Corinna's local knowledge - we enjoyed the Sunday market at Langeais, the garden festival at Chaumont and chateaux in the area. Try the cakes at the Cafe Rabelais in Langeais!!!! Don't miss the Sunday barbeque, either, and, in the unlikely event that you are bored, you can borrow bikes and games. Definitely the best gite experience we have ever had- we would recommend it. Wendy and Brian

Great stay in The Stables

My partner and I spent a few days at Moulin de Maulne. The owners live on site and couldn't be more helpful but were never intrusive.
The property itself is set in beautiful gardens for everyone to enjoy and the pool is fantastic! There are bikes you can borrow if you want to explore nearby but you will need a car to get around, to the local supermarket etc.
Our gite was perfect for the week, although simple in design it had everything we needed and our bed was huge and extremely comfortable.
Based in the center of the Loire it's only 30 minutes from Tours airport and many of the chateaux and vineyards are nearby.
We loved it and would definitely come back.
