Repos de Reve

This superbly restored cottage is well appointed with high quality furnishings, with all the rustic charm retained, designed for a holiday to remember and repeat. Set in over an acre of ground with a private garden leading directly from the kitchen. Next to this is the area where the pool is situated, which is above ground for added security. Surrounded by fields and forests it will enable you to relax and enjoy the serenity and beauty of the countryside. The region is called The Berry, in the southern tip of the Loire and is often ignored by tourists heading for more crowded resorts, which is a great advantage for those who have discovered this forgotten paradise. You too can find a landscape rich in nature, rare birds and plants, with deer, wild boar and foxes enjoying the land, free and protected. For those interested in something different, there is Futoroscope which is a high technology theme park of cinema and films and other agenda. Only one hours drive.

Interior Detail

With a fully equipped kitchen you can enjoy your holiday without the daily chores. The dining/living area with its high ceilings and exposed beams - with a number of French relics suspended - has comfortable seating and a HiFi with a Cd player, television, DVD & video and a lovely dining table for romantic candle lit dinners. Period tiled floors and walls adorned with lots of bric-a-brac give this one time stable a great atmosphere. Modern and well appointed bathroom with washbasin & toilet, and a 2nd toilet for your convenience. Both bedrooms have full size modern beds, suitable for adults or children. Dinner can be cooked for your first night, and set up in the cottage. Freshly baked bread & croissants from our farmhouse kitchen can be provided daily for your breakfasts.

The Sights

There are a number of medieaval villages, particularly recomended are Argenton-sur-Creuse, Angles-sur-l'Anglin, and Chauvigny. Take the circuit of the Creuse Valley through a landscape rich in green valley, rocky gorges and lakes whilst passing through a number of artists villages. For a change of scene there is parachuting, gliding and water sports nearby. Lots of local goats cheese farms (regional speciality) and of course wine producers around, all offering a `taste before you buy' service. Abundant markets ranging from small to enormous selling everything from fresh vegetables to livestock. Nature walks and birdwatching, Safari Park to the high tech Futoroscope theme park.
