Veuil is a small village of 370 inhabitants, it has a beautiful Romanesque church. The ruins of a castle built between 1500 and 1700 tower above the village, the origins of the castle dating back to the Middle Ages. There is a programme of theatre, films, picnics etc in the court or restored barn of the castle every summer, the cottage lies just a stone throw away and the centre of the village 400m.
Veuil is located approx 250km southwest of Paris, 60km south of Blois on the Loire, 20km south of Selles on the river Cher. The whole area is dotted with chateaux, the closest to be visited is the chateaux of the Prince Talleyrand at Valencay (6km).
