Charming, private 18th century stone farmhouse
This utterly charming and private completely restored stone farmhouse, sits on its own ,in the beautiful countryside, under the Loire Valley's huge sky. Surrounded by fields, wildflowers and the ancient forest of Montrichard, it is a peaceful 'retreat' from which to visit the Loire's chateaux and wineries.

'La Ferme du Petit Souper' is equal distance between Amboise and Blois (each 25 minutes away), which both sit on the Loire river. To the south, on the Cher river is the medieval town of Montrichard, where there is a twice weekly farmers market, several wineries and a 'beach', where in summer, one can swim, rent paddle boats or kayaks. We are surrounded by 100's of chateaux the closest being the gem-like Chenoncau, which spans the Cher river. Blois, Amboise, Chaumont (with their garden festival from May to October is 15 minutes from the farmhouse), Chambord and Cheverny are all just 30-45 minutes away. This is also a famous region for wines: Vouvray, Chinon, Bourgueil, Saumur and Sancerre all of which are finally coming into their rightful place in the spotlight for their clean yet refined taste.

Just a fantastic place we chanced upon by very great good fortune.
Really comfortable and such a great welcome from K & C.
We'll be heading back there if our friends don't book it up first.
