HISTORY YOU CAN TOUCH:
The Château has been written up in many books as it has been of historic importance since the 12th Century. It was under the protection of Charles V when it was an Abbey. Later, it was the home of Henry IV’s mistress. More, recently, it was the Resistance HQ of Indre in WW2.
The 18th Century Moulin du Château was a working water mill until 1916. In 1998-1999 the Moulin was extensively renovated and updated by the present owners to bring it up to a high standard of comfort and luxury that the setting and scenery warrant. The Moulin's exterior was resurfaced in 2005 which brought out it's original architectural features and beauty.
