Loir-et-Cher holiday house: Faverolles sur Cher

Ein idyllisch und ruhig gelegenes Haus mit ausreichend Platz, so dass die Kinder auch an Regentagen toben konnten. Bei Sonnenschein spielten sie gerne in dem großen, der Ferienwohnung zugehörigen Garten oder nutzten Rutsche und Schaukel im allgemeinen Garten. Die Wohnung war blitzsauber. Angenehm auch das große Bett mit einer komfortablen Matratze. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen mit einer Flasche Wein aus der Region. Unsere Wirte waren stets um unser Wohlergehen besorgt, ohne sich dabei aufzudrängen.

Calm estate, comfortably furnished, very clean, large bed, spacious garden with swing and slide, amiable landlord ... We have enjoyed our stay!

Our gite in the Loire Valley was everything we had hoped for. It was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Our private outdoor patio and garden was perfect. We spent many hours outside enjoying the beautiful landscape; There was ample room for our visiting granchildren to run and play, and also a swingset; Rebecca and Phillip were very accomodating and helpful in every way. The Loire Valley is a gorgeous area with many things to see and do including an underground city we found unbeliveable and the gite is in a location which makes everything accessable. Not only would we recommend this property to everyone we know, we would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful week's holiday in the Loire region, where we were based in the gite at Domaine de la Chapelle. The description of the property if anything understated the location and amentities! The property was exceptionally clean and well provided for in every respect, with an attention to detail that to date we have not come across in other rental properties. The last thing you want on a self-catering holiday is a poor property - we lacked nothing here! Phillip and Rebecca were excellent hosts, with a warm welcome and just the right amount of personal interest to ensure we were having a good time and that everything was ok with the gite. From our own experience and observations, we consider them to be fully committed to providing excellent customer service both to any staying in the gite and those in the chambres d'hotes. We would definitely recommend this propperty to friends and family.

It is in an ideal location to visit the chateaux and vineyards of the Loire. The property itself is in well cared for grounds with their own privacy, and yet once you step outside of the front gates you have lovely views over the River Cher, its valley and not too distant the town of Montrichard. Now we're into chateaux in a big way, and it says much for the gite's location, that we managed to visit sixteen of these beautiful castles and mansions during the week, with probably some of the crown jewels in Chambord and Chenonceau just a short drive away. With the amount of entrance fees paid, we tended to self cater literally, but can say that the town of Tours boasts a good selection of restaurants!

Take our advice, this place is excellent value for money! But you will have to be quick to book up because we're on the job for 2009!
