Situated in a rural location bordered by woodland walks and quiet country lanes. Local amenities 10 minutes away in Castillonnès and Lauzun include shopping, restaurants and a weekly market. Activities in the immediate area consist of horse riding, fishing, hiking and cycling. An auberge is within walking distance which also sells a range of local delicacies. Exclusive use of the 10 by 5 metre pool which is accessed immediately at the front of the property and surrounded by a paved patio area with sun lounger’s and outdoor eating areas with a BBQ and lawns. Accommodation comprises five large bedrooms each with their own individual character one of which is ensuite. There is a large family bathroom and an additional shower room, WC and washbasin. The kitchen is fully equipped for twelve with a large cooker and fridge The living area is open plan, tiled ,with a mezzanine accessed by open stairs otherwise the accommodation is ground floor level.

20 minutes drive from Bergerac airport Castillonnès is situated on the national route 21. It is one of the 13th century bastide towns for which this area is famous. Surrounded by vineyards, sunflowers, walnut groves, prune orchards and the picturesque medieval towns of Villaréal, Eymet; Issigeac and Monflanquin it is steeped in history. There are weekly markets in all the neighbouring places and excellent regional food served in high class restaurants at competitive prices. Villeneuve sur lot and Bergerac are 30 minutes drive in opposite directions and provide not only retail therapy but cultural information about the surrounding region. Bergerac, Duras, Monbazillac and St Emilion wines are produced in the area along with many others giving this region its famous reputation for fine food and wine. The beaches of Arcachon, Biscarrosse and Mimizan are only 2 hours drive away and the city of Bordeaux one and a half hours drive through outstanding countryside and quaint towns and villages.
