This 1 bedroom windmill is perfect for couples and honeymooners and is only a 5 minutes walk from the centre of the village with grocery store and Bar/Pizzeria. It has spectacular views over a vineyard towards a Chateau and is only 20 minutes south of the Dordogne River. Ground Floor: Fully fitted and equipped kitchen/diner and shower room/toilet. First floor: Romantic Double bedroom, washbasin and under stairs wardrobe/shelving area. Second Floor: Lovely Lounge with double sofa bed, 2 armchairs, new wall mounted flat screen TV, X-Box, DVDs/games. Outside: Private Pool set in a large garden. Pool 8m x 4m x 1.3m deep throughout, with sunny poolside terrace, large shady trees, brick built BBQ, new wooden luxury garden furniture - dining set, pair of oversized daybeds, 2 Teak steamer chairs. In the Lot-et-Garonne near the Dordogne border the windmill is set beside a vineyard on the edge of a small hilltop village called Loubes Bernac (5 minutes walk to the centre of the village) which has its own post office, grocery store and bar/pizzeria. This 1 bedroom windmill is perfect for couples and honeymooners as the setting is peaceful, romantic and very private with excellent views. If you do like activities then this is a super location offering nearby: horse riding, golf, canoeing, tennis, cycling, walking, fishing, swimming lakes and hot air ballooning. This locality is unsurpassed for chateaux, medieval/bastide towns/villages, vineyards, wine tasting, local markets, fantastic Perigordine cuisine and a wide choice of restaurants. The towns of Eymet/Duras/Ste foy la Grande are only a 15-20 minutes drive away, with St Emilion, Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Domme and Sarlat in easy driving distance for a day out.   • Inclusive of water, electricity, gas, cleaning prior to and after your stay, gardening, pool maintenance, luxury bed linen and hand/bath towels, kitchen towels.
    For holidays of more than one week the price includes additional bed linen and towels.
    Arrival after 3.30 pm, departure by 10.30 am.
    £100 Deposit per week is due upon booking and is non refundable.
    The Balance is due 10 weeks in advance of your arrival. After the Balance is paid it is non-refundable.
    A further £200 Damage Deposit is due with the Balance. Damage Deposit is refundable in full after your holiday provided there are no damages.
  • Due to the current economic climate all prices have been frozen at the 2008 rates.

Charming Moulin

We are frequent visitors to France but usually with the kids to a holiday camp so we were not entirely sure what to expect. The Windmill was the perfect setting to a very relaxed week in the most beautiful and friendly part of France we have visited. The pool, set overlooking a vineyard was a perfect way to cool down when it got too hot and the kitchen and BBQ were more than adequate if you were eating at home, but with so many fabulous restaurants in the area why would you want to! We would certainly recommend the windmill to any couples looking for a romantic and relaxing holiday. We have been back a week and already received our damage waiver deposit back from Don & Samantha

Perfect Peace & Tranquillity

We have just spent the first week of June at "Le Moulin" and it is absolutely perfect for any couple wishing to have a romantic and tranquil holiday break, and that is most certainly what we have had. The property is one of the most homely, well equipped and welcoming properties we have ever stayed in, and there have been quite a few over the years. There is plenty to see and do in the area but if like us you have wonderful hot sunny weather all you will want to do is relax by the superb pool, just taking the occasional dip to cool off. Le Moulin stands in beautiful gardens overlooking the grapevines and there is absolutely nothing to disturb the peace and tranquillity during a stay here, it would be possible to stay here and not see a single person for the whole of the stay if you wished, there is however, should you need, a Post Office, Village Shop and Pizzeria/Bar all within walking distance in the village for all essentials.
The property was spotlessly clean on arrival, with very good quality linens (all of which were included in the rental rate), the owners were perfect to deal with providing very accurate and detailed information prior to our stay, and we would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.
This property is really only suitable for couples as there is only the one bedroom, although there is a sofa bed in the lounge. We would not recommend it for those who have difficulty with stairs as there are over 25 from ground floor to the top floor lounge or for anyone over 6’ tall, as they may find the shower room a tight fit!

Delightfully Relaxing Windmill

I've recently spent two weeks at the windmill with my partner and found it was exactly what we were looking for. The location is very good, close to both Bergerac and Bordeaux for flights from the UK. It's also very well equipped. I'm still trying to get out of the routine of long lazy days by the pool, enjoying a glass (or two!) of wine. If you felt more active there's plenty to do in the way of local markets, delightful riverside towns, winetasting in the nearby Medoc, Sauternes and Saint Emilion (to name but a few) and a wealth of historical sites if that's to your taste.

All in all the perfect way to escape from the rat race for a short while!
