Self catering Gite with 3 or 4 bedrooms, to sleep upto 8 people

‘Lafaurie’ is a traditionally renovated old country farmhouse, located in the beautiful Lot-et Garonne, close to the Dordogne border. Enjoying a rural setting, ‘Lafaurie’ is an ideal self-catering holiday venue which is conveniently situated just a few minutes from the well supplied market towns of Miramont de Guyenne and Eymet with supermarkets, bars, cafés, bakers, butchers, fishmongers and it's wonderful markets and a 2 min drive to a 9 hole golf course. The owners, Jane and Alan live in the adjoining barn, and whilst on hand to assist with any queries or share a bottle of local wine, the Gite is entirely self contained with PRIVATE and not overlooked gardens, pool, access and parking.

WiFi available.

The property can either be rented with 3 bedrooms for upto 6 people or 4 bedrooms for upto 8 people. The gite can also be rented groups of 4 people or less.

JUNE and SEPTEMBER is usually more comfortable warm weather.

  • All prices are per week Saturday to Saturday arriving at 4.00 p.m. and departing at 10.00 a.m. A deposit of 33% is required with the booking and the final balance due 8 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of £150.00 is also required with the balance payment, which is refundable after the post-holiday check.
  • PRICES FOR RENTAL OF GITE FOR 4 PEOPLE OR LESS (3 BEDROOMS MAX), OUTSIDE THE PEAK PERIOD, CAN BE NEGOTIATED.

    JUNE and SEPTEMBER are great months to rent. The weather in France during these months is usually much more enjoyable as you get the more comfortable warmer weather.

    WINTER LETS - now available - The living rooms has a log burner to keep you warm and cosy during the winter and all bedrooms have electric heaters.

The house has been carefully restored to blend original character with all modern conveniences and thus still enjoys exposed stone walls, exposed beams, tiled and terracotta floors and shuttered windows. A large covered veranda overlooking a shaded terrace leads into the sitting room which has a wood burning stove. The house is comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs. From the kitchen/diner, a half glazed stable door overlooks and opens onto a further terrace surrounded by maturing shrubs, flowers and fruit trees. A natural spring fed “source” trickles across pebbles and beneath the steps which rise up to the paved terrace surrounding your private swimming pool (Pool size is: 8m x4m). POOL - opens in MAY and closes in OCTOBER. WINTER LETS - The living room has a lovely log burner for those cosy winter evenings and all bedrooms have electric heaters.

With your own PRIVATE pool and colourful gardens, you can simply unpack and relax! Sleeps 6 or up to 8.

Gite La Faurie

Beautiful gite that was spacious and cool on some extremely hot days. Pool is larger than it looks, and was a constant 25 degrees. It was really easy to find and only a couple of minutes drive from the local town and shops. The owerns were very friendly and informative and on hand to sort out any queries. Highly recommend this for a lovely relaxing holiday, have already booked again for next year!!

Happy Days in France

Had a fabulous two weeks, the owners made us feel very welcome and the rural location of the property put us in holiday mode very quickly. Fantastic stone BBQ, secluded outdoor eating and a great pool as well as well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds....not much else required for a great holiday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. The details were accurate and the owners very helpful throughout our stay.
A lovely property with character and space.
Easy access to the region which is stunning; Bergerac being one town worthy of more than one visit.
Local restaurants are good quality and offer good value.
We returned very relaxed, highly recommended!

We stayed at Lafaurie in August 2007 and enjoyed a wonderful holiday. The owners, Jane & Alan Patterson were extremely helpful from the day we booked our holiday right through the duration of our stay.

This Gite is set in beautiful grounds surrounded by trees, flowers and shrubs and is quite simply beautiful and spotlessly clean; “home from home”.

The best bit for us was the peace and tranquility and the feeling of being completely ‘away from it all’.
