Nestling in the peaceful hamlet of ' Botte' this charming farmhouse is just 2.2km from the market town of Duras, which boasts it’s own chateau and excellent restaurants. Close at hand, horse riding, fishing golf and many other facilities. The house has recently been renovated to a high standard with a bright spacious kitchen with dining area and two separate lounges. The 3 bedrooms are on the first floor each with a double bed plus 2 further single beds in the largest bedroom. The master bedroom has an en-suite.

La Botte is a small hamlet 2.2km from Duras, which is right in the heart of the wine region. South about 25kms is St Foy la Grand and 80kms from Bordeaux. St Emilion and Bergerac are also not far away. A world of vineyards, plum orchards, fields of sunflowers and many walled Bastide towns and villages.

Details of the Farmhouse : Very old farmhouse fully modernised to a very high standard yet has maintained its own character. It is a traditionally built stone farmhouse, surrounded by approx. 3/4 acre of garden, which is totally secure. Ample parking facilities, with a bar-b-que, bicycles for use, etc.

Note : Quilts, pillows, linen, bath and hand towels provided. Please bring your own pool towels.

The Area: The Duras countryside is a harmony of beautiful landscape and historic villages and Bastide market towns all with their own unique character. Wine lovers can enjoy wine tasting in the numerous 'caves' in the wine growing regions of Duras, Bergerac, St. Emilion and Bordeaux. Local activities include canoeing, horse riding, hot air ballooning, golf and tennis, around the Duras area there are a wide variety of events and festivals throughout the season and the tourist centre in Duras will probably be one of your first stops on arrival.

In Addition: Within 20 to 30 minutes drive are the larger towns of St. Foy la Grande which has a huge market on Saturdays and Marmande which is also excellent for shopping.

GOLF - half an hours drive.

Fabulous holiday house

Came back to the web-site to look at returning to this lovely house with fantastic pool for a second year, only to find our dates unavailable. Had a fabulous holiday here last year. The house was really well equipped and the garden with large grassy area for ball-games and the pool were lovely., The area was full of interesting things for a family with kids under 10. Our host could not have been more helpful. We would absolutely recommend this property.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
