Two splendid properties between the Dordogne and the Lot
These two properties are totally independent of each other, separated by the mill stream. They lie in six acres of rural tranquility. Each has its own secluded 10m X 5m pool. and an abundance of pool and garden furniture. The Mill is stonebuilt, and rustic in character, with exposed beams and steep stairs. It was upgraded in 2007 The Gite is a single-storey modern building which also was extensively redesigned and renovated in 2007. There is so much room for walking, lazing, playing, barbecuing, partying that it would be possible never to leave the site. However, within a few minutes, the local towns and villages can offer all sorts of activities, like kayaking, horse riding, fine dining, golf, whilst there are endless opportunities for sight-seeing and exploration. The properties are easily accessible, being within less than two hours from several airports served by budget airlines. The channel ports are about an eight hour drive away and Gourdon has a mainline station.

The modern kitchen is well equipped, and the lounge boasts a wood burning stove set in an inglenook. The twin bedroom at the lower level has en suite facilities, and the double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom at the upper level are reached by a steep stair. Residents have exclusive use of the 10m x 5m swimming pool and are free to wander in the property's fields. There is an abundance of garden furniture and loungers, and the large tonneaux, equipped with lights, mean that barbecues can be held in all all weathers! There is a self-contained cellar flat, sleeping 2, which can be rented in addition, should parties require extra accommodation.

The nearest shops are four miles away in the pretty village of Le Vigan. a further seven miles away lies the medieval town of Gourdon where you will find banks, supermarkets, fine restaurants and an excellent wine cellar. Cahors is half an hour away. The Majestic town, lying in a loop of the River Lot, with its famous Valentre Bridge and Cathedral of St Etienne, bustles by day and is lively by night. Along the banks of both the Lot and the Dordogne are stunning towns and villages, like St Cirq Lapopie, Puy-L'Eveque, Souillac, Beynac and Le Roque Gageac. The medieval towns of Sarlat and Rocamadour are close by. The Perigord-Quercy region is a gourmet's paradise. Produce from the area - duck, pate de fois, cabecous (small goat's chesses) feature on menus everywhere. The 'black' wines of the Cahors region are renowned. Local vineyards offer tastings and opportunities for leisurely purchasing! At Le Moulin you may have a quiet holiday, enjoying rural peace, or one full of activity!
