The property is located adjacent to the Aveyron gorge on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Quergoalle and has a spectacular view. It is a short drive from the historic town of St. Antonin Noble Val which offers a variety of traditional shops and a renowned Sunday market. This is a beautiful unspoilt rural region with limestone plateaus, dramatic gorges, winding rivers and wooded valleys providing a fabulous environment for exploring and outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, climbing and canoeing. It is also a wonderful area for bird watching and stargazing.
All around are wonderful villages to visit such as Cordes, Najac, Penne and Bruniquel and slightly further afield, but still within easy reach, are Cahors, Albi, Toulouse and Carcassone. For those who like driving, the Mediterranean and Pyrenees also make good day trips.
Finally, don't forget the wine. Blancou is situated between the wine producing regions of Gaillac and Quercy and a visit to the vineyards is recommended.
