Additional amenities:
Figeac has a good mix of shops and banks, with a bustling Saturday morning market. A large L'Eclerc supermarket is less than five minutes away with a depot de pain and charcuterie even closer.There is an excellent choice of restaurants close to the gite and in the town. Literary, music, theatre and other festivals are held in Figeac and other surrounding towns throughout the year. An Information Folder, with details of all the amenities and activities locally is provided and the resident English owners are available to give you every assistance during your stay.
On arrival:
Peter and Carolyn Smith, the resident English owners, invite guests to a welcome drink on arrival and a Welcome Hamper is also provided. All bed linen, bath and tea towels are provided and included in the rental prices. Beds will be made up for guests' arrival. For those staying more than one week, fresh bed linen and towels will be provided for subsequent weeks. Guests are required to supply their own towels for swimming and the removal of hair colourants and self-tanning lotions.
Small children:
Children of all ages are welcome. Those over 6 months at the time of the holiday are counted as occupants. A fully equipped Cot Room, with two cots, is available on the first floor of the gite. Baby sitting for children up to 5 is provided on a charged basis by arrangement and there is a remote baby monitor available for guests' use.An extra cot and 2 high chairs are also available.
Golf:
Golfing parties (12 maximum) are especially welcome. There are 4 excellent golf courses within an hour's drive from the house. Rodez, Aurillac and Vezac are 18 hole courses and St Cere is a 9 hole course. Clubs may be hired at Rodez and buggies may be hired if required. Green fees in May/June/September/October are 30-35 euros (with reductions available for golfing parties) and are slightly higher in July/August.
