Préniac is quietly situated within a hamlet on the brow of a hill built around the delightful courtyard of a lovely 18th century farmhouse. The property is set within 6 acres of tranquil parkland, including a large 12 x 6 metre landscaped pool and a small lake with stunning views in all directions across the surrounding countryside. Preniac comprises the owners farmhouse and 3 pretty and spacious Gites, built in the typical Quercynoise style of local white stone. The property lies just outside the picturesque village of St Pantaléon, located in the beautiful rolling countryside of the southern Lot, amidst vineyards and sunflower fields. Each spacious place is fully equipped with Sky TV and DVD players and guests can borrow DVDs from the owners library. There is outdoor table tennis, and each gite has its own private terrace or outdoor seating area with private barbecue facilities.

Lavande is a very light and spacious stone gîte full of character and sleeps up to 6 people. It comprises a very large open plan living area. The kitchen is newly fitted, fully equipped and includes a washing machine. The comfortable living area has a wood burner and French windows opening onto a large private terrace with views of the pool and valley and private barbeque facilities. At the rear of the main living room there is a hallway giving access to the family shower room and toilet and stairs to the mezzanine double bedroom with additional single bed. Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor and is accessed from the living room. It has 3 single beds, is very spacious and has its own en-suite toilet and shower room. Lavande is also ideal for a winter let as it has a very efficient wood burner in the living area.

The area offers a host of activities and places to visit to suit all tastes. Those who enjoy history and architecture can tour the wealth of medieval towns and villages throughout the area. The more active can choose from a range of sporting activities including canoeing, swimming, fishing, golf and horse riding.

Dutch family enjoying peace and quiet at Preniac

We did stay for two weeks at Preniac in the gite Lavande. The owners are laid-back, but very hospitable and helpful if needed. We were very pleased we could bring our dog which matched perfectly well with theirs.
We did stay there with two kids, a five year old and a thirteen year old and especially the latter was pleasantly surprised we had two bathrooms.
The view from the terrace from Lavande is fantastic. A perfect French picture including the sunflowerfields. We sat there totally private, apart from the shrieking frogs in the pawn down the valley at the other side of the road, we enjoyed the outside life practically all the time.
The pool is very nice and clean, well kept, very pleasant for a refreshing swim and also to lay next to, with good sunshades if the sun is too hot.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet so much that we didn't do much except some walking and one day of canoeing.

We were glad we had chosen this place for our holidays and certainly recommend it to others.
