Le Domaine de la Cadenède is a very good place to make a family reunion or a sport training with friends. In front of the Millau viaduct, La Cadenède is a beautiful fortified residence of the period of the Templars. This historical property will seduce you by its convivial character, its quietness, the beauty of the stones & by the many leisure activities you can enjoy on the spot and all around it, in Sud-Aveyron, belonging to sports, culture or nature. Our house is open all year long & can accept 25 persons: 12 bedrooms all with a personal touch, 6 bathrooms, 3 living rooms with fireplace, wide dining room in a vaulted stable, kitchens & 1 summer kitchen with barbecue near the pool. Many leisure activities on the spot: swimming pool 14 x 7 m, volley ball field, petanque field, 12 mountain bikes, fitness room, table tennis, table soccer, billiard, piano, TV & video set, hi-fi set, chess set and other games, library, 2,5 hectares park. Central heating, helipad.

Located inside the Parc Naturel Régional des Grands Causses, our house La Cadenède is a good place to enjoy a lot of leisure activities : Brocuejouls roman chapel, Peyre village belonging to the 'Plus beaux villages de France' and its cave dwelling church, Gorges du Tarn, Roquefort cheese caves, Larzac Templars, and many sports of full nature. You can also enjoy going to cinema, theatre, museum or doing shopping in Millau boutiques. Don't forget to enjoy gastronomy in our good restaurants all around Millau.

Our house is located only 4 km from the city center of Millau (good for shopping) and it is surrounded by nature (good for silence) !

  • Our 12 bedrooms are decorated with paintings and tapestries of 18ème century. The 12 rooms belongs to 3 independent flats (Troubadours, Templiers and Causse Rouge), each of them with kitchen and living room. You can unit all together in Troubadours living room and enjoy its vast fireplace with coat of arms belonging to Lord Sambucy de Courtines who lived there in 1650. Wide dining room 65 m² in the old stables, with kitchen and monumental tables, up to 30 persons. During spring and summer, you will eat in the summer kitchen 54 m² near the swimming pool and enjoy the beauty of the Millau viaduct, designed by Lord Norman Foster.

Fantastic Chateau for big parties

We are a group of 30-40 people which meets each year for one week to relaxing, eating and drinking at a pool.
Cadende was our fourth house/chateau we have rented so far in South France and it was the best of all! The mayor highlights of Cadenede are:

- Living in a medieval castle on the top of the valley with two great halls and a stunning inner courtyard.
- A really big pool with a unbelievable (!!!) view in the valley. Perfect for sundowners.
- A big kitchen with two big fidges and two stoves right beside the pool.
- Very much space for all activities (volleyball, badminton, retreating...)
- Just 10 min to a big grocery store (under the bridge), which has everything (e.g. fresh fish).
- No neighbours
- Very kind and skillfull caretaker (he doesn't live at the castle), who helps quickly!

FYI: All rooms are absolutley ok for sleeping, but the standard between them is quite different. From a kingsize room to a rabbit warren. Let your friends know about this in advance, than it will no problem to distribute the rooms.

Summary: A perfect spot!
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
