Beautiful chateau from 1860 set on a south slope overlooking the Montagne Noire. Sunny inside and outside. Large property of 3 ha set in a rural area guarantees privacy, remote-TV controlled gate entrance. Swimming-pool 6x12 meters with pool house and summer kitchen. Swimming in nearby lakes in the Montagne Noire, else 1 1/2 hour drive to the Mediterranean. The chateau is fully modern with central heating, etc. Washing-machines and dryer in basement. The main floor contains reception areas, kitchen, WC, large dining room, drawing room with satellite TV, large library with mostly English books and most of the world´s operas on CD, table tennis, 2 offices. The second floor contains master bedroom with bathroom/ WC, an additional 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom, 1 WC. Top floor contains a self-contained apartment with 3 bedrooms, bathroom, WC, kitchen, own staircase and entrance. Also additional children´s library. Half time maid and gardener/pool keeper included in price

Nearest Airport: Toulouse at 80 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Castres at 10 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Carcassonne at 60 Kilometres
Rural agricultural area set in a fascinating cultural region. Caves as well as castles from the cathar period (12-13th century) within 1/2 hour drive. Carcassonne with Europe´s best maintained medieval atmosphere and longest wall within 1 hour drive. 'Cité des oiseaux' with show of free-flying falcons, vultures etc. an immense attraction for children. 10 minutes to the city of Castres, 1 hour to Toulouse, the 3rd largest city in France. Vineyards to visit in Gaillac to the north as well as Corbières and Malepère to the south makes for an interesting day and supply of cheap and good wine. Supermarket though is only 7 minutes away south of Castres.

I had a dream, and that dream was to find a beautiful place in France where I could spend time with all my children and grandchildren, and the Château de Noailhac provided the perfect setting in many respects.
The Château was spacious, beautiful, children- friendly, and in a very privatre location. The grounds and pool offered many hours of relaxation and enjoyment.
Overall it offered not only possibilities of sports activities but also intellectual ones with its amazing library.

The owners were prompt in answering all our queries as well as being honest and pleasant to deal with.

I am very happy to highly recommend it.
