Aux Mêmes, once a typical Gascony farm, lies near the village of Bellegarde Adoulins in the Department of the Gers. The Gers is one of the eight Departments of the Midi-Pyrenees which is just south of the Dordogne . The hilltop farmhouses which have views of the Pyrenees and surrounding countryside are set in 10 hectares (22 acres) of rolling farmland. Most of the land at Aux Mêmes is still farmed today, the rest being made up of several woods and a small vineyard.
