The house is situated near the boarder of the Lot and Dordogne departments, in a small hamlet 3 km from Gourdon, a thriving medieval town with all amenities, including cinema and numerous restaurants. It is within easy reach of the Lot and Dordogne valleys and only 15 minutes from the A20 autoroute. The house is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Dordogne and Lot valleys with their chateaux, vineyards and prehistoric sites. A short drive to the East is Rocamadour, one of the most visited sites in France. Cahors, the capital town of the department, is a 40 minute drive through the stunning landscape of the Lot. To the North you enter the hills of the Correze Department
Gourdon (3km) has a Saturday market and leisure lake for swimming, picnics and fishing. Canoeing on the Dordogne (12km) is a popular and leisurely activity for all age groups. The area is famous for its gastronomy with duck and foie gras being specialities along with walnuts and the local cabecou.
