Our renovated home offers all the comforts of modern living, while still retaining all its old world charm. The house is ideal for two families to share, with the house naturally splitting into two sleeping areas. One side offers two double bedrooms a twin, and a bathroom. While on the other side of the house there is one double bedroom, two single bedrooms with upstairs bathroom and a mezzanine floor with double bed. In total the house can sleep up to 12 people. There is a large shaker kitchen located at the heart of the house, with range-cooker and dishwasher. Double doors lead onto a decked terrace, which overlooks the garden, swings and walled swimming pool. Also off the kitchen is another bathroom & utility room. Living room has digital tv channels & DVD. There is also a BBQ, travel cot and high chair available. An outbuilding has been turned into a games room with table tennis, & basket ball. There is also a climbing frame/swings and king size trampoline.

Le Pignier is located 8kms from the enchanting medieval town of Mirepoix which holds a wealth of events throughout the summer months - marionette show, medieval weekend etc. Together with its authentic French weekly market, great restaurants and cafes. The fabulous walled city of Carcassonne is situated 30 minutes away and is one of France's top tourist attractions. The capital of the Ariege, Foix is a charming town only 20 minutes away which offers a chateau with panoramic views, golf course and the largest underground cave in Europe, making it all worth a visit. An hour from the ski resort of Bonascre, the thermal baths of Ax-Les-Thermes and only an hour and a half from the Spanish border. This area steeped in Cathar history really does offer a plethora of sites to visit, all situated within the most spectacular scenery.
