L’Iceni Court is a traditional 17th Century Gascone Farmhouse, set in the foothills of the Pyrenees. This very spacious self catering gite has exclusive use of the half acre lawned court with swimming pool and shaded orchard. Adjacent to farmland and on the outskirts of the pretty hilltop village of Castelnau Magnoac with it’s bars, and restaurants. On the ground floor you will find a large kitchen/dining room with large refectory table for formal dining, very large fireplace with wood burning stove, then through to the Salon which is flooded with sunshine through the four six foot windows. This large and airy room is typically French Chic & features a large open fireplace. The open plan stairs lead from the Salon to the first floor, where you will find 4 large bedroom, 1 en-suite bathroom, a shower room and a family bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have private access to the large balcony affording views across the countryside and on to the beautiful Pyrenean Mountains.

Castelnau Magnoac is situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees and within 45 minutes of the ski resort of St. Lary Soulan. The world famous Carcassone is within an hour and a half drive as is the shrine of Lourdes. The midi-pyrenees capital town of Toulouse is 60 minutes drive away. A trip to the Mediteranean will take 2 hours as will a trip to Bairitz on the Atlantic. In addition to the fabulous contryside of the Haute Pyrenees you can find lakes, caves, golf courses, aerodrome (just up the road). The medieval town of Auch with it's catherdral and wealth of pavement cafe's is also one hours drive.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Castelnau-Magnoac proche de Lannemezan.
Les propriètaires sont très accueillant et disponibles.
La maison est spacieuse pour 8 personnes et avec la chaleur la piscine etait la bienvenue.
Les commerces sont à proximités.
De nombreuses activitées et lieux à visiter (Pic du midi..).

A lovely week in the Midi Pyrenees

My wife and I spent a wonderful week relaxing in the pretty village of Castelnau-Magnoac and exploring the surrounding countryside both on foot and on the bicycles thoughtfully provided by the owners. The farmhouse provided spacious traditional accommodation and was very comfortable offering every amenity. Conveniently located between the airports at Pau and Toulouse, the journey from Pau took us less than an hour. The property was conveniently situated for short excursions into the Pyrenees, Tarbes and Lourdes. We also travelled slightly further afield, visiting the enchanting fortified city of Carcasonne in the region of Languedoc-Roussillon.Local produce was in abundance at the Saturday market in the village square and the local supermarket catered for all our other provisions. We would certainly recommend L’Iceni Court.

Great holiday and splendid value for money

Hi,
Stayed at this farmhouse last summer. The owner's are next door but keep themselves to themselves. They are really friendly and helpful though. The house is massive and beautifully furnished, there were eight of us but we had plenty of room. The three bathrooms made getting ready to go out a leisurely affair. The weather was scorching. Thank goodness for the pool !!!
