La Roque is a beautifully restored stone farm house in the Quercy Blanc. Situated up a no through lane, on the edge of a tiny farm hamlet and overlooking its own tranquil meadow and valley, the property is private but not isolated. The farmhouse and adjacent barns date from the early 19th century and have been fully restored to a high standard. La Roque is full of character and charm and retains much of its period detail with original terracotta tiles, beams and stone walls. The light and spacious double-height 'salon' has a magnificent stone fireplace. The house is furnished in period style and has a fully equipped kitchen and a separate utility room. A covered terrace to one side of the house overlooks a walled courtyard and the large Quercy barn, which is equipped for table tennis. There is a further outside dining area and summer kitchen above the large south-facing swimming pool which enjoys stunning views and day long sun.

Notes: Situated in 40 acres of wooded hillside and meadow, and close to three medieval villages, La Roque is perfect for those who enjoy walking and the countryside, good food and wine, or just lazying in the sun. Montcuq is ten minutes' drive away and has a good range of shops as well as a colourful Sunday market and there are traditional markets in Lauzerte and many of the other local villages. There are a number of excellent restaurants in the area, from those serving a simple table d'hote menu to the Michelin starred. The historic city of Cahors, with its famous Pont Valentre and cathedral, is within easy reach. Further afield lies the city of Albi with its museums and magnificent cathedral and the city of Toulouse with its many urban charms. For the more energetic, canoeing, riding, tennis and golf are all available locally.
