Borde Neuve is in the rolling hills of the Quercy region. It is a very productive farming area and is famous for the Chasselas table grapes. The hills around are covered in orchards af many different fruits including cherries, plums and even kiwi fruit. It is only about 20 km from Moissac which is sat on the edge of the Tarn valley and is a busy small town with a lovely old part including the famous cloisters.
The Lot river is only 35 minutes away with the famous Cahors vineyards stretched along the valley.
For walkers there are plenty of footpaths, but famously, the GR 65 pilgrimage path passes close by, on it's way to Spain and the church of Santiago de Compestela.
There are many interesting and pretty villages around, such as Lauzerte, La Francaise and Montaigu de Quercy.
Cazes Mondenard is the closest vil and is only about 3 km away. It has most facilities and shops that you need on a daily basis, such as bakery, butchers, small well stocked shop, bank and post office.
