Review of Blancou; 2007 and 2008
Review Submitted: September 8, 2008

Lovely setting ; lots of room. all needs thought of and catered for. Whirlpool bath is wonderful.
Owners discrete but very helpful if needed and English. On site vegetable garden with home grown produce for sale.
Rural setting; fantastic views and very quiet. Not really for city-slickers but if you want peace and quiet and real, genuine France without English tourists, then come here.

Owner's Response: Blancou is situated in the Tarn & Garonne, one of the eight departments which make up the Midi Pyrenees which is the largest region in France. In the south of the region are the Pyrenees Mountains and in the north are the Causses – a group of chalk plateaus (part of the Massif Central) which are cut through by the deep gorges of rivers such as the Tarn, Lot & Aveyron. In between are rolling hills with wooded valleys, garrigue landscapes and rolling farmland where crops such as sunflowers and maize abound. This is a very rural region and there are birds and wildlife in abundance which makes this area a paradise for nature lovers. Because of its size and location this area offers a huge diversity of scenery, cuisine and activities to suit all tastes.
We are situated in a small farming community, with no immediate neighbours, fields all around and overlooking the Aveyron gorge. We have 5 acres for you to roam around in, a productive vegetable garden, plentiful herb selection and many fruit and nut trees from which you can pick fresh produce (depending on the season).
Whilst we have a quiet rural idyll for guests to unwind and chill out in, we also have plenty of activities on site and locally to keep families of all ages entertained. Onsite we have table tennis, table football, badminton, boules, a variety of indoor games and the all important private swimming pool. Bird watching, butterfly spotting and star gazing can all be done from the garden. Locally, have fun canoeing or bathing in the river, cycling, climbing, walking (local books provided) horse riding and site seeing.
