See the sights!:
St Cirq le Popie - Brunequel - Najac - Conques - Rocamadour - Villeneuve. All villages of special interest & all within 30 minutes from Parisot.
The small cities of Albi (wonderful cathedral & museums); Cahors (medieval bridge, architecture); Montauban (Ingres museum) are close.
The big city of Toulouse is just over an hour away (the Airbus tour is pretty good).
In between there are châteaux, churches. etc..
Do some wine tasting?:
We have wine areas on three sides of us.
Cahors to the North with their powerful reds. Great wine and they border onto the Bergerac region as well. Something over 150 vineyards to choose from.
Gaillac to the South with 100 more wineries. Reds, whites & some great sweet desert wines at fantastic prices. This area, little known outside of France, has some great wines at bargain prices. Well worth exploring as not only is the wine good the countryside is outstanding.
To the immediate West we have Quercy for some stunning reds. Not as many wineries as the others, but the quality is there. How about having your very own row of grapes? We can put you in touch with an award winning winery run by an English couple where you can purchase the wine made from your very own rented row of grapes. You can come down for the crush if you want as well!
Further West there is Buzet or a bit further afield (3 hours) Bordeaux & Madiran.
Life is tough, but somebody has to drink this wine.
Golf:
Unfortunately its a bit of a drive to the nearest full golf course.
There is a 9 hole short course with driving range only 20 minutes away. By short course we mean holes of 150-200 yards. It has good greens and is excellent for practicing everything except your driving.
45 minutes away there is a good full 18 holes course called Florentine. At 20 Euros the prices is right and the course is a challenge.
About an hour away is the 18 hole course at Albi. This is top notch, but expensive.
Also, an hour away are several courses near Toulouse.
