Our gîte in the hamlet of Cayrol is a converted 1800 farmhouse, situated near the village of Sousceyrac, east of the town of Saint-Céré in the Lot department. Slightly off the beaten track, this area is well known and loved by francophiles and has much to offer to those wanting more authentic French feel and a less 'touristy' holiday. We aim to offer you a comfortable base from which you can visit the area: put simply, it is your home in France for a short while. The house will receive 5 people comfortably and can sleep up to 6 if the need arises. To make it simple for you to come and stay, the rental is all inclusive and when you arrive, you will find the beds made, the fridge cold and ice cubes in the freezer!

baker's, butcher's, self-service general shop, newsagent with cigarettes counter, Spar mini-market with its butcher's and cheese counters, Post Office, Tourist Office, Crédit Agricole with ATM, pharmacy, doctor's surgery, hotel and several restaurants and small cafés. The local market is held in the village every 2nd Wednesday of the month and there is a budding local producers’ market every Sunday morning in July and August. The nearest larger towns of Saint-Céré and Aurillac with their shops and museums are both within a 30-min drive.
