The stone-built house is surrounded by a lawn and paved play area, the whole garden is secure and safe for children. The neighbours in the village are very friendly. The house is very comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped, with seating for up to 10. One of the double bedrooms has an extra single bed plus a cot. The swimming pool is 12m x 5m with a Roman end. Security is paramount to the pool area with regard to infants. not only do we have an alarm which activates on water pressure but also a fence with lockable gate. If travelling by road a route map can be supplied and a ferry discount of up to 50% is obtainable from Holiday rentals.

Around the area near Tauriac.: There is a boating lake and a bar/restaurant in Tauriac, approximately 1 mile away. Historic Rocamodour is 12 miles away. Castelnau Bretenoux, the biggest fortress in Southern France is 4 miles away. Brive is 20 miles away, and there are many pretty hamlets with bars and restaurants in the area. The house itself is situated in a very peaceful area with farmland all around , the hooting of owls can be heard most nights. If you are lucky you might spot them sitting on the house or barn roof. Shopping. Le Clerc supermarket is approximately four miles ( six km ). Also cloths shops, filling station and a wonderful bakers, the pain is I think the best in the area, and wait till you see the cakes.mmmmmmm.

Outside Pool: The pool is 10 mtrs by 5 mtrs with a roman end of 3 steps. The shallow end is approx 1 mtr ,the deep end 2mtrs. A 1.5 mtr fence with lockable gate surrounds the pool which is also protected with an alarm which activates on a pressure of approx 7kilos. A gas barbecue is supplied for those warm nights eating alfresco. Also on site is a table tennis ( ping pong ) table.

Other Activities: Fishing is very popular in the Dordogne
