Just across from the medieval village of St Cirq Lapopie, in the middle of the Regional Natural Parc des Causses du Quercy is the quiet village of Tour de Faure. The Lot Valley is one of France most picturesque, and it always feels like time stopped here many years ago. The region is rich with historical sites, generous gastronomy, unpretentious but elegant wines, natural resources and most of all the friendly and welcoming inhabitants.
The world famous painted cave of Pech Merle is only 10 minutes away, while the famous sites of Rocamadour, Padirac, and many others are all within a 100 km radius. In late fall and early winter, the famous Black Truffle market of Lalbenque is only a short 30 minutes drive away.
Between hikes, bike rides, nature trails, river cruises and a rich and diverse artistic tradition there is a great variety of activities to fill a relaxing vacation, while resting in the shadow of a tower that was build long before Columbus sailed to discover America!
