Les Arbres is the perfect place for a holiday. Quietly set in beautiful countryside in its own enclosed grounds of two acres with breathtaking views, yet just a mile outside the country town of Maubourguet. Enjoy privacy and peace but with all the convenience of a town nearby. Les Arbres is just one hour from the peaks of the beautiful Pyrenees mountains and 40 minutes from Pau airport. The accommodation is spacious and newly decorated and comfortably furnished for 10 people. The house is fully centrally heated and is well equipped throughout. There are 2 double and 3 twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a further en suite shower in the main bedroom. There is a large lounge and dining area, fully fitted kitchen, laundry room and indoor games room. Outside there is a beautiful shaded terrace for alfresco dining, private pool with sun terrace(fenced), children's play area and games field, barbecue and private woodland providing welcome shade and a safe place for children to explore.

Les Arbres is situated at the top of a hill, just outside Maubourguet - a small country town with a good bakery, supermarket, cafes and restaurants and a weekly market. Maubourguet has two rivers running through it and an 11th century church. The area around Maubourguet is largely rural and unspoilt and the property offers breathtaking views across the Adour plain. The surrounding villages are perfect for exploring and enjoying the peaceful pace of life. Gascony is famous for Armagnac, foie gras and excellent wines and in the summer there are plenty of fetes and festivals nearby. The house is convenient for the Pyrenees mountains (one hour's drive to the peaks) boasting spectacular scenery, varied wildlife and fantastic walking. There are many interesting geological features in the area and good leisure parks. Lourdes is nearby and the larger towns of Tarbes, Pau and Auch are each within an hour's drive and have good facilities as well as offering plenty to do and see.

Les Arbres is one hour from La Mongie, the largest ski resort in the Pyrenees, making it easily accessible for a day's skiing or snowboarding (season approximately mid December - end March) . Several other Pyrenees ski stations are within reach for a days skiing (Luz Ardiden, Gourette, St Lary, Peyregudes). A holiday here offers an ideal chance to try your hand at winter sports without committing to a fully fledged skiing holiday and would also be ideal for parties where not all members want to ski.
