Domaine Le Cedre is situated in the beautiful varied countryside of the North Lot.Nearby are 6 'beautiful villages of France' and with its lovely rural setting it has many possibilities for walking and bike rides The Domaine is formed by a 200 years old house with pigeon tower, a 100 years old stable, now gite L'Ecurie, a big open barn for drying walnuts, a medieval cottage, now gite Au Tilleul, a beautiful park with old trees and an old well. The house, barn & cottage are recently restored and the heated, salt-pool is installed. L'Ecurie (6p.): Downstairs (52m²): kitchen/dining, living, shower room. Upstairs (52m²) 2 big bedrooms and shower room. All windows look out on the unspoiled valley. Au Tilleul (4p.): Downstairs(36m²) living with big open fireplace, kitchen/dining, shower room. Upstairs (36m²) big bedroom + toilet room. La Cave,(45m²/4p.) studio in old winecellar for b&b or extra room to gites The garden and pool are shared with the owner and users of the other gites

Le Ecurie is situated in the old horse stable building. The gite has downstairs a livingoom of 30m², which can be used as well as an 'atelier' for painting etc. or group activities. As well on the downstairs you will find a well equipped kitchen with dining area and a shower room with toilet, basin and shower. An extra single bed is placed in the living room. On demand this can be changed to a double bed or twin bed. Upstairs you will find two large bedrooms, one with a twin bed and a single bed and one with three single beds. Upstairs You will find a second large shower room with shower, basin and toilet. The guests are welcome to use the living room as an atelier for creative activities, for which many materials are available for using. In the living room You will find a big working/dining table which can sit 10 persons on matching chairs and a seating area. The spacious 'bibliotheque' contains many books, cds, dvds and videos, as well as the TV, dvd and videoplayer.

Domaine Le Cedre is situated in the Nortern Lot, near the borders of Dordogne and Correze, in a beautiful, hilly countryside, overlooking a valley. Around the house you will find woods, meadows, walnut groves and old farms. Le Cedre is reached by little country roads. In the area there are 5 the most beautiful French villages to be visited, like Collonges la Rouge, Turenne, Curemonte, Autoire and Loubressac. As well worth visiting are the medieval towns of Martel and Roucamadour. Nearby are 4 Golf courses, all on about a 25 minutes drive from the house. The Dordogne River, for fishing, swimming and canoeing is on 10 km distance. The region counts many Chateaux, fortified towns, museum etc. Shopping centres in old towns like Brive and Souillac as well as super stores like Geant and Carrefour are easy to reach.

Notes: The downstairs living, kitchen and bathroom are all at one level and have wide doors. Also the swimmingpool and garden and terrace are at the same level as the downstairs of LÉcurie. The bath room is not espacially equipped for people in a wheelchair.

Golf: In the area are four golf courses: - Souillac Country Club: a beautiful 18 holes cours, all laid out in hilly woodland. - Brive, Planchetorte, a nice 18 holes cours near the town on a hill side, - Chateau Montal near Saint Cere, a 9 holes cours with lovely views and - Aubazine, a spacious 9 and a 18 holes cours al in hilly woodland. The first three are to be reached by car in half an hour, the Aubazine cours can be reached in 50 minutes, but is, together with the Souillac Country Club, the one most rated by my guests.
