  • Towels and bed linen are provided at no extra charge. We provide a welcome pack for new guests which includes milk, coffee, tea, bread, butter, cheese and a bottle of wine.
All gas and electricity used during your stay is included in the holiday price.
  • If there is availability, we will accommodate short mid-week or weekend bookings. If you are considering house buying in France, now could be the time to do so. It is apparent that prices are rapidly increasing and the French population having realised the number of Brits buying and renovating, are now doing the same themselves! 'If the Brits can do it - so can we' seems to be the trend we are noticing. We can assist in pointing you in the right direction for estate agents and Notaires as required.
  • We regret we are not able to accommodate pets.

The Perfect Chill Out Location

Sparky Evans Cardiff
Review Submitted: May 31, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
This place is perfect for couples or couples with a small child. We've just had the most wonderful week staying here and our daughter (14 months) absolutely loved it. The property itself is beautiful (if anything the photos don't do it justice) and Paul and Faye have done a great job of renovating this old farmhouse (it comes with turrets and a moat!). It was so peaceful, no major roads nearby so you don't get the buzz of traffic just the wind in the trees and in the evening the frogs! There's a wonderful garden to explore and plenty of animals on the property (Louis the dog, the cats, the chickens, the fish in the moat and the swallows nesting in the roof) to keep the little one entertained.

Paul and Faye are wonderful hosts and made us feel like part of the family.

Ideally located for Falaise and you could do the coast (D-Day beaches), Bayeux, Caen etc in about 45 minutes. The Cider Route is also about 20 minutes away and well worth trying (you'll have to argue over who does the driving though!). There are lots of little towns and hamlets nearby to explore (all picturesque), local markets to visit and some great walks/bike rides on roads where you hardly see any cars.

All in all the perfect location and a great place to visit but you'll definitely need a car.

Fantastic holiday home in beautiful Normandy

Kate and Shaun Brentwood, Essex
Review Submitted: September 30, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
What a wonderful holiday to relax, unwind and explore the delights of Normandy. We had such a fantastic time here - I would recommend it to anyone. It won’t be long until we’re back! Faye and Paul are such wonderful hosts. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed for a week’s holiday.

This gorgeous farmhouse is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, which made it truly relaxing and peaceful. After a busy day site-seeing, it was great to relax in the gardens or dine alfresco.

The property is only 10 mins drive from Falaise, which makes it the perfect base to explore Normandy. The D-Day beaches, Bayeux and Caen are all within easy reach, roughly 45 mins away. There is so much to see and do in the area.

Overall, a fantastic place for a relaxing and peaceful holiday.

Thank you Paul and Faye!

Not to be missed...tranquil, relaxing & stunning!

Dollydumplin Blackheath, London SE3
Review Submitted: September 3, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
If you want the most relaxing holiday ever, in stunning surroundings and with two very special people as your hosts...then this is place for you.
We used this as our base, as we were touring on our motorbike and found it central for lots of interesting places such as the Normandy Beaches, Lisieux Basilica and a very well hidden Putanges pont Ecrepin (look it up on the net!).
The property was clean and nicely furnished...the bed was extremely comfortable (which is unusual).
The property has a moat with koi carp, chickens that roam freely and a very friendly and charming dog, Louis.
No matter how much I write, words are just not enough to explain what a fantastic place this is and how much we loved it.
We are planning our next visit for 2010 and at least once a year thereafter!!!
Don't take our word for it...go and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
Owner's Response: We appreciate you kind comments and it was a pleasure to have had you here. We look forward to seeing you again....don't leave it too long though!

A week is not enough!

Professor and Mrs. G Pittsburgh PA USA and Toronto ON Canada
Review Submitted: July 15, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We were welcomed by the extraordinarily generous gesture of our host: We arrived more than five hours later than expected (our delayed plane from Toronto the culprit) and Paul came into Falaise to lead us to their absolutely delightful, immaculate and most comfortable gite. Faye had ready a hot mug of tea and all the info we needed for a wonderful first week in Normandy.
This gite in Perthville Ners is perfectly situated to visit the Normandy beaches, Caen, the seaside resorts of the Impressionists (Deauville and Trouville – but we say: don’t miss Cabourg, Dives-sur-mer and Honfleur) and of course Bayeux. In addition to the peace and beauty of the Barker's delightful garden, the verdant countryside, cider, cheese and markets all contributed to a splendid holiday.
At age 76, I think, even had the weather been co-operative, we would not have dined al fresco (that sturdy staircase was fine for up and down but not,in our case, for transporting food). However, the bright, airy and well-equipped sitting/cum dining room served us perfectly.
We wish distance and age did not make a return seem unlikely.
