An extensively renovated three bedroom barn (owner's accommodation adjoins) in a secluded position on the outskirts of the beautiful market town of Gavray. Located between the historic Villedieu Les Poeles and the large coastal town of Granville, in close proximity to the A84, La Meslerie is an ideal self catering holiday home from which to explore Normandy and the emerald coast, or to just get away from it all. Full of character, this holiday home has been tastefully decorated throughout and has its own private, south facing garden, which is fully enclosed, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside of south west Normandy. A short drive will take you to the coast and miles of uncrowded, sandy beaches. Well equipped and spacious, a beautiful holiday home, perfectly situated for all the attractions on offer in Normandy.

The nearby town of Gavray has all conveniences including a well stocked supermarket, bakers, butchers, banks, bars and pharmacy. The zoological park at Champrepus is only 10 minutes away. Villedieu Les Poeles, famous for its copper and bell foundry, Granville, with its port, marinas and restaurants, Avranches which has the famous Mont Saint Michel manuscripts, all these towns are a short drive away. The city of Coutances, once the capital of Manche (and was again whilst they rebuilt St-Lo after the war) with its stunning cathedral and churches is 20 minutes drive. 20 minutes will also take you to the coast and many miles of golden sandy beaches. Less than an hours drive for a day out at the fabulous Mont Saint Michel, or in the opposite direction to the Normandy landing beaches and their many associated D-Day museums. We are situated only 10 minutes from the main A84 making our holiday home very convenient for exploring all of Manche and Normandy

Electricity is included from May to August. From September to April, 80 units are included and additional units are charged at 0.15 euros per unit.
From 28th June 2008 to 5th September 2008, Christmas and New Year only weekly bookings are taken but at all other times short breaks are available with a minimum 2 night stay at a rate of £70 per night, plus an electricity supplement if applicable.

From this room, patio doors open into a large secluded garden with a barbecue, which is south facing and surrounded by countryside. Bedrooms 1 & 2 are both double rooms with wardrobes and dressers. The large bedroom 3 has bunk beds and 2 single beds ideal for 2 adults or 2 to 4 children, a travel cot is also available which fits easily into either double room. All bed linen and towels are provided. The bathroom and shower room both have WC and wash basins. . Babysitting service also available. All barbecue coal supplied. |
