La Palmeraie is a 19th century stone built manor set in large grounds 5 minutes walk from the medieval town centre of Bricquebec with its castle and lively market place. The town is within 12 minutes of the beach resorts of Carteret and Barneville, and half an hour from the WW2 Normandy beaches. The house is 20 minutes drive from Cherbourg. The owners have restored the house over the last 3 years & the spacious accommodation offers brand new bathrooms, central heating, a modern kitchen, laundry room and a large sun terrace. The grounds have plenty of room for lounging or playing & the extensive gravel paths are ideal for boule. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance. The town has two supermarkets and within 15minutes drive at la Glacerie there a huge range of shops and the Auchun hypermarket. The region offers glorious beaches & a relaxed life style. There are frequent festivals & a weekly market.

Lots of good restaurants, bars and shopping within easy reach. Mont St Michel and the Bayeux Tapestry an easy day trip. Small friendly town, lots of festivals and events in summer.
