A beautifully refurbished cottage in the heart of Normandy.

A two bedroom refurbished farm cottage attached to the owners property. In the heart of the Normandy countryside with unspoilt breathtaking views, peace and tranquillity reign. Although the property is off the beaten track there is easy access to the N13 from the ports of Cherbourg and Caen. We are only a short distance away from the Normandy Beaches, Bayeux Tapestry, Caen, William the Conqueror’s castle, the Mine Museum at Molay-Littry, Cerisy Abbey and Forest plus many more places of interest. The property is let on a self-catering basis and sleeps 4 adults. Presented to a very high standard throughout, the ground floor is a spacious open plan living area with kitchen, dining facilities and log burning stove for colder evenings. On the first floor there are two bedrooms one double and one twin and a shower room.

Calvados offers all the pleasures of Normandy life, there is something for everyone. The rolling acres of farmland, apple orchards and the sea lend itself to the superb quality of the produce of the area. Cider and Calvados, [experiencing the Trou Normand is a must; a shot of Calvados taken mid-meal to create room for more food] dairy produce, fruits de mer, mussels [with Normandy cream], wild oysters [from Isigny sur mer] and fresh fish are just some of the local specialities to be tasted in this area. The region is steeped in history. From medieval times, the town of Bayeux is home to the famous 11th century tapestry depicting William the Conqueror’s invasion of England and the Battle of Hastings in 1066. More recently, you can visit the beaches of the Normandy D’ Day landings, including Omaha, Utah and Arromanches. You can also visit the picturesque Flower Coast, including the port of Honfleur and the sandy beaches at Deaville, which are ideal for families.
