Traditional Thatched Cottage in Rural Normandy

Le Petit Guichon is situated in Normandy, deep in the countryside off a quiet country road and forms part of a working smallholding, with good access to numerous local activities and places of interest. The historic medieval town of Domfront is close by with good restaurants whilst Flers at a little further afield is the regional commercial and shopping centre (Wednesday and Saturday markets) and a brand new swimming complex. Meanwhile our nearest village boasts a famous abbey and equally famous biscuit factory.

The cottage is situated within the Normandy/Maine Regional Park, which offers a host of outdoor activities. Nearby to the west is Fosse Artour where you may follow the route of King Arthur and either ride ponies, rock-climb, fish, take refreshment or pick up the Grande Randonne (GR22) and walk all the way to Mont St Michel. To the east you can follow the GR thro' historic Domfront to the foret des Andaines- with a chance to see wild boar, deer and mushrooms - and on to the exquisite spa town of Bagnoles de L'Orne. To the north lies the rolling countryside of Swiss Normandy and the World War 2 sites. To the south is the contrasting plain of the Mayenne.
