Photos and Description of this Orne holiday cottage STUNNING VIEWS to horizon all round. Total peace but 3 min from main road.

Cottage for two set in deep countryside surrounded by fields and woods to horizon. Only 4 min from main N12 road to Paris. A rural area of lakes and forests scattered with delectable villages and towns. The people are incredibly friendly here. One hour from Chartres, and Monet's garden at Giverny. One hour fifteen min from Le Mans, Versailles or Paris. Summer here is usually hot but not unbearably so, and the Spring and Autumn long and warm. Off-road tracks for walking, riding or biking are everywhere and Center Parks, with golfing facilities is ten minutes up the road. People come here to find tranquility and unwind from the stress of their daily lives and return home refreshed, having found the time too short to explore all that is here. This is not a big holiday area, you see life as lived by the French going about their normal pastimes, who are only too happy for you to join in their fete days etc. The local towns have pools and sports facilities for the active.

Nearest Train: Verneuil sur Avre at 17 Kilometres

Nearest Beach: beach at 90 Kilometres

Located 2 kms from village shops and facilities. We are located within 20 mins car ride of the historic towns of Verneuil sur Avre, Mortagne au Perche, Longy au Perche and l'Aigle. All are charming with their own special characters. Discover in l'Aigle the historic carved wooden front of Mary Tudor's house before she landed in Britain. Horse riding facilities a few minutes up the road. Golfing at Center Parks nearbye. All the town have pools and sports centres and this historic area has many museums, chateaux, forests and lakes. Discover the outdoor swimming lake near Abbé de la Trappe. Walking and cycling here is a dream after the crowded roads and tracks in Britain. The Normandy landing beaches are two hours away, as is the Loire and its chateaux in the other direction.

Notes: Number of garden chairs flexible - garden swing seat. Friendly owners on site so most requests or requirements can be catered for. Large pond in garden with friendly ravenous fish, it's best not to fall in, Moby Dick could swallow anything! Garden very secluded , planted with large variety of flowers, flowering shrubs and trees. Visitors have their own sheltered area.

Guest booked is well-filled with satisfied clients: The cycling here is magnificent. No traffic problems and hundreds of kilometres of quiet roads passing through ravishing scenery and villages. Horse riding is available 10 min up the road, our own two mares being now 28 and 30 years old and not used for visitors. For walkers, you simply walk out the garden onto tracks that can take you as far as Mont St Michel or the south of France if you wish. Painters and artists find many subjects within a stone's throw of our own property. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Hidden maagic: ThIs is an area that people often rush through on their way further south. This has saved the region for the local very friendly French population and for the more discerning visitors. Next time stay in the region instead of tearing through on the motorway. You will be enchanted by what you find. Just about all our visitors fall in love with the area.

Other Activities: Good selection of bikes kept for visitor's use.

Darren & David, Leeds. thank you for the warm welcome. Les Letumières is such a lovely, relaxing retreat and a great base to explore from. The log fire has been wonderful to return to after our trips.

Adam & Celia Edingurgh. Thank you for your hospitality during our relaxing week away, just what the doctor ordered! We enjoyed the rustic charms of the cottage and the peace and quiet (And of course, Hugo! (dog)).
Our tip, take the back roads! Some lovely small villages are hidden not too far! Thanks again, Adam & Cee.
