Cottage for two set in deep countryside surrounded by fields and woods to horizon. Only 4 min from main N12 road to Paris. A rural area of lakes and forests scattered with delectable villages and towns. The people are incredibly friendly here. One hour from Chartres, and Monet's garden at Giverny. One hour fifteen min from Le Mans, Versailles or Paris. Summer here is usually hot but not unbearably so, and the Spring and Autumn long and warm. Off-road tracks for walking, riding or biking are everywhere and Center Parks, with golfing facilities is ten minutes up the road. People come here to find tranquility and unwind from the stress of their daily lives and return home refreshed, having found the time too short to explore all that is here. This is not a big holiday area, you see life as lived by the French going about their normal pastimes, who are only too happy for you to join in their fete days etc. The local towns have pools and sports facilities for the active.

Notes to the rental rates

• For guest staying a week the rate includes a start-up pack of goodies including a bottle of wine will be in the fridge so that you don't have to rush out early on your first morning.
  The rates from mid May to end June are £200 per week, rising to £230 for the high season until mid September.

The cycling here is magnificent. No traffic problems and hundreds of kilometres of quiet roads passing through ravishing scenery and villages. Horse riding is available 10 min up the road, our own two mares being now 26 and 28 years old and not used for visitors. For walkers, you simply walk out the garden onto tracks that can take you as far as Mont St Michel or the south of France if you wish. Painters and artists find many subjects within a stone's throw of our own property. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
