La Basserie is a typical Normandy farmhouse in a secluded rural position on the fringes of the small village of Ver, near the charming market town of Gavray. The surrounding countryside is delightfully unspoiled and the coast is only 20 minutes drive away. There are facilities for many sporting activities in the region, including an excellent golf course and fishing. The house is very well equipped and is a perfect base for a relaxed family holiday or house party. Bookings are normally from Saturday to Saturday but short breaks are welcome outside the high season. English caretakers live nearby.

The house is situated 10 kilometres inland from Granville on the south west side of the Cherbourg peninsular. A particularly attractive area of unspoilt countryside and miles of beaches and estuaries.

There is a large 3 acre field with the house. About 20 minutes away there is a 10 mile sandy beach.
