Honfleur. Rooftop, waterside apartment in the Old Port.

Having travelled by cross-channel ferry and car we fully expected to be driving about the countryside but Honfleur itself is such a delightful town with so much to see and do that we didn't stray far the whole week. There are lovely walks along the estuary, around the countless charming medieval streets or up into the green hills and much history to delve into. What a delight to slip out early in the morning for freshly baked pain and to be greeted by cheery 'bonjours' and to watch the early morning coming to life of the regular markets. Our favourite restaurant was Il Parasole in the Rue Haute when the service was warm and friendly and the food excellent.The apartment was a real home from home and we can't wait to go again.

We had a wonderful stay in this fantastic apartment, which could not be in a better spot. Overlooking the basin to the front and the square with the old church to the rear! It was great to be right in the middle of Honfleur with all of the shops and restaurants seconds away. The apartment is spacious and was very clean and well-equipped. We will be back next year and would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone looking to sample the delights of Honfleur!

I have just returned from my third visit (looking forward to a fourth) to this wonderful apartment in the top of one of the traditional old tall houses which overlook on one side the magnificent harbour and on the other side the lovely old town square with the wooden church. The views are spectacular. The apartment itself is on 2 floors with a bathroom on each floor. It is quite spacious and the living area is very pleasant. There is everything you could need and we have cooked full meals there with no trouble (when we're not eating out in the wonderful selection of restaurants), bed linen is also supplied if required. The property is always very clean and well maintained. Andy the owner is always very helpful and I think this accommodation is an excellent opportunity to stay in a lovely location at a good price. Honfleur itself is a beautiful old town with something for everyone - wonderful Saturday market, walks along the quaysides, park with swimming pool, tennis and playground,museums, art galleries, lovely shops, plenty of restaurants and bars and of course the beach. It is also a good base for seeing Normandy - Rouen, DDay beaches, Bayeux, Deauville, Caen, even Paris (by train from Lisieux) are all easily accessable. At just under 3 hours from Calais it is ideal for either a few days or a longer holiday, I am sure this apartment and location will appeal to most people
