B&B / Self Catering at Beautiful Norman Water Mill, 3km from the beach
Five en-suite luxury rooms with a shared 'light' self-catering kitchen. Located in the Mill Keepers Cottage (La Maison du Meunier) on the banks of the River Saane just 3 kilometres away from a wide sandy beach and the picturesque coast line of the Cote d'Albatre. 'Le Moulin' enjoys a peaceful and gloriously idyllic location, with panoramic views over the river and open countryside. Guests are invited to relax in the gardens and just enjoy the serenity of the location. Rods are available and guests can try their hand at fishing! There is a sitting room/library available for use by guests which is located on the water's edge. Located in a rurally enchanting village, Le Moulin enjoys an enviable position away from the Hurley-burly of modern day life but is still only a 15 minute drive from the historic market town and cross channel port of Dieppe.

The village of Longueil is situated to the west of Dieppe, just 3 kilometres from a wide sandy beach (at low tide) and the spectacular coastline of the Cote d'Albatre. Although just 15 minutes from Dieppe, the countryside is very rural with lush green fields, pretty villages with small lanes winding past working farms, traditional colombage and chaumiére cottages, chateaux and chalets. Dieppe is a bustling market town and port. It has retained some magnificent architecture and old world charm. The market on Saturday morning is a MUST visit! There are actvities for children which include a water park at Cany Barville and an amusement park at Cleres - both these centres are just 40 minutes away. Beautiful chateaux and manor houses with gardens open to the public such as Parc des Moutiers (Lutchens and Jeckyll) and Chateau de Miromesnil (Guy de Maupassant). Daily markets offer a great taste of local produce and throughout the summer there are numerous exhibitions and fetes.
Local activities tennis, swimming, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf, wind-surfing, surfing

Other sites of historical and general interest include the Bayeaux Tapestry; the Normandy Landing Beaches; Monet's Garden at Giverney; Mont St. Michel; the Calvados, Cider and Cheese producing regions; the many chateaux including that of Guy de maupassant at Miromesnil - just a stone's throw away. There is so much to do and see. And if you are visiting to enjoy the food, you will not be disappointed - there is an enormous selection of excellent restaurants to suit all budgets.
Golf Information:
The beautiful and challenging course at Pourville-Dieppe is just a 10 minute drive. Other courses at Etratat, St. Sens and three in the Rouen area are all within a 75 minute drive.

wonderful time

Review Submitted: August 04, 2008, Date of stay: July, 2008
our two week stay at the romantic getaway mill was a big success. The room was clean and had a special touch of interior design. The breakfirst at a big table with all the other guests was great and very lively. In the evenings we could choose out of a huge DVD-collection, so no boring time for our 12 year old daughter. Our pet was also very welcome and had the big garden to play with the kids. And finally me and my husband had the time to read our books and to relax. We would recommend this place to all our friends.
Owner's response:
We are delighted that our guests, Uli+Anne had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. We work very hard to ensure all our guests are comfortable and that they have a memorable stay. Le Moulin is located on the river in an area of outstanding beauty and this backdrop helps us to create the perfect setting for a romantic or family holiday. Breakfast and dinner (if required) is served at a very large table in the dining room and our house specilaity is a hearty English breakfast. Evening meals are often a lively ocassion, helped by an international mix of guests. The wine flows freely and usually everyone has a good time!
