Great Place for Cyclists in La Manche

We rented La Porte Rouge for a 2 week family vacation. There were 8 of us and we still had an unused bedroom! This is a huge beautiful house. The house is renovated enough to provide all the modern conveniences but still has all of its original Norman charm. The kitchen and dining area are perfect if you need to feed a gang. The front lawn is large enough for kids to play soccer.
While most of the family went sight seeing, my wife and I spent most of our time cycling on the Voie Vertes (Green Belts) in the area. The primary east-west path (an old railroad grade) is less than 100 meters from the entrance to the property. Carentan is only 3 miles away on the path and the west coast of the Cotentan is about 15 miles. The trail system connects to Le Mont St Michele, Cherbourg, and trails in Suisse Normandie. It is better suited for mountain and hybrid bikes than road bikes.
Overall, this is the perfect place for those seeking a real country experience in Normandy and especially cyclists.
For foodies: Carentan market day is Monday - great artisan dairy and bakery products. Ouistreham has a daily fish market - bit of a drive (~1hour) but worth it (go early); catches may very. Butchers in Carentan are good - veal is superb. Calvados near the turn off to the house is excellent - 10 year old is very well balanced.
