On the edge of the Marais with views
Set on the edge of The Marais in the 27,000 hectare Parc Naturel Cotentin and Bessin this turn of the century house has splendid views across the marshes to Carentan the capitol of the of the Parc. Set in 5 hectares of natural parkland with it's own pond there are ducks, chickens, 3 ponies & a donkey. The main house is a perfect family holiday location within walking distance of the beautiful town of Carentan that dates back to Viking times & has Roman arches in the centre of the town. The town also has a beautiful port which is accessed to the sea along the famous canal which crosses on top of the main motorway from Cherbourg the N13. A wonderful market is held every Monday. Les Ponts d'Ouve is just a stones throw away which is the Parks head office from where you can take a boat ride through the unspoilt rivers & canals to see the bird life close up.

Ste Mere Eglise the first town liberated on 6th June 1944 just 12 kms away along with Pont du Hoc, Grandcamp Maisy, The American Cemetery all within 35 - 45 minutes drive away.
