This stunning two bedroom chalet is situated just 500 meters away from the centre of the popular ski / summer mountain resort of Chatel with the ski bus stopping directly outside our door! The Chalet is well equipped, comprising of a fabulous open plan living room with fireplace, dining room & a fully equipped kitchen. The ground floor also has a toilet and cloak closet. Upstairs there is a bathroom with bath and shower, a separate toilet and two double bedrooms. Each bedroom has a king-size bed which can be split into two singles, a built-in wardrobe and it's own balcony with stunning views looking straight up the valley towards Linga. The chalet has a well kept garden with a private patio and veranda; we provide teak garden furniture and a dining set for use in summer months. In winter we provide wood for the fire and there is a dedicated ski / bike room located at the buildings entrance. The chalet has private, off street parking. The Apartment is located about a five minute walk from the town's church and is situated on a similar level - so very little climbing up mountains to do! It is on Rte de Roitet which is directly below Petite Chatel.

We are extremely fortunate in Chatel, benefiting from breathtaking views all the way down to Abondance and up the valley towards Linga.

The town has retained it's Alpine charm thanks to a rigorous town planning department but is equipped to the highest standards from infrastructure right through to some of the best restaurants in the Alps!

We are blessed with both fabulous skiing - being a part of the worlds largest combined skiing are, the Portes de Soleil, and having a lengthy, warm summer season for all your walking, climbing and cycling / mountain biking needs.

Ski holiday

We have stayed at Snowball twice and love the place! The children enjoying playing in the garden outside and there is plenty of space inside. The ski lifts at La Linga or Pre Le Joux are an easy drive or bus journey away, whilst the centre of town is a pleasurable walk away. The chalet is spacious, well resourced and clean. The open fire is wonderful on a cold snowy night. We would thoroughly recomend the chalet and look forward to many more holidays there!

Great Stay

We Stayed here the Week before Christmas and had a wonderful time, the chalet is in a great position a short stroll into Chatel with stunning views over the valley, it is really well equiped, and the fire is so cosy to come back to on a wintery night, highly recommended

Everything we hoped for

Let's get the only one minor gripe out of the way to start with... I think that the word 'Chalet' may be misleading - this is a lovely Apartment in a Chalet. This said, everything was first rate - well furnished, good kitchen facilities and very well situated. I spent a great week there as 50+ father of 2 sons both in their 20s and it was big enough for all of us to feel comfortable, unlike the cramped 'on top of each other' conditions one experiences in some other properties. So, in summary, a first class apartment - very helpful instructions from the owner before arrival and local agency staff very helpful too. Go there, you'll enjoy it!

Summer Getaway

Each year we have been coming back to this same Chalet for 2 glorious weeks in Summer. The location high in the hills is perfect for exploring the surrounding mountain walks and a range of adventure sports. The scenery is absolutely amazing. A variety of local restaurants offer excellent local specialties and the village markets allow you to sample and choose your own local produce for home cooking. Geneva is a day trip away if you tire of the beautiful mountain vistas. There is something for both the adventurous and more relaxed holiday experience.

Fantastic weeks holiday

Having established that we wanted to holiday in the area around Chatel in France we begun to search for the best option taking into account our needs and budget. The property is in the most ideal location with views that still looked as fantastic on day 6 of our holiday. The descriptions given are very true and standard of chalet is even better than described with all needs thought through. Location to town is a very brief pleasant walk as described and easy to access all that Chatel has to offer. Child freindly area as well as our six year old son rated this as better than being at home and found lots to amuse him all week. We have re booked this same chalet for two weeks next year ............... What more do i need to say.
