Great value, self-catered or catered chalet and separate apartment with breathtaking views in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, with easy access to ski lifts and summer activities. Spacious, comfortable, well maintained. Log fire, sauna, large garden, ample parking. Ideal for full week holidays, short breaks and smaller groups. Self Catered Ground Floor apartment. Open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. Two bedrooms (one twin and one triple). Separate bathroom and toilet. Shared use of sauna and wet room.

Great value, self catered or catered chalet with breathtaking views in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, with easy access to ski lifts. Large lounge dining room with log fire. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen. 5 spacious bedrooms. Two on the second floor are large and have extra seating areas one can be converted to a single bed and another to a double bed. The roofs are sloping and the upstairs bathroom has limited headroom. There is ample storage/wardrobe space within these rooms. The three bedrooms on the first floor all have built in wardrobes and superb views from their windows. Beds are supplied with cotton/polyester duvets, two pillows and cotton/polyester sheets. Hot water is plentiful in the 3 bath/shower rooms. The ground floor shower room includes a 4-5 person sauna. Laundry facilities, drying room, garage and parking for 3 cars.

Adventure Activities: There is no end to the activities available in this valley. Please contact us and we would be happy to advise you on the best companies to contact, or we will organise this for you.

Golf: There are 8 golf courses within one and a half hours drive from the chalet. Some are vertically challenged and others are of championship quality (Evian and Flaine). We will be happy to advise on these.

Other Activities: Dirt boarding, white water rafting, canyoning, high tree climbing

Stayed in the chalet several times with family and friends - perfect for skiing and summer holidays, easy drive from airport, within short drive to several ski resorts or many summer activites, shops and restaurants - one within walking distance.Accomadation always clean, very well maintained and homely. Good customer service all round, excellent value and would recommend to families or groups of friends - young and old! Beautiful setting, easy access to all you could want but away from the tourists!! Bliss! Highly recommended!

Lothlorien - Ground Floor Apartment

We have stayed in the Lothlorien apartment twice now, using it as a base to ski the Porte Du Soleil area. The apartment is extremely comfortable and comfortably sleeps 5 or 7 if you use the pull out sofa. The furnishings and facilities are excellent and it has everything you need for as self catering holiday. It is kept very clean and has a good library of things to do in the local area whether you visit in the Winter or Summer. There is space to store your skis and an excellent drying room. The added bonus, we found, was after a hard day skiing you can use the indoor sauna which is situated next to the apartment. Lothlorien is about 5 mins drive from Morzine so you do need a car. Having said that there is a ski bus stop across from the apartment into Morzine. There is a little hotel 2 minutes walk away and also a little take-away pizza hut. We have had 2 superb family holidays at Lothlorien and when the chance arrives we will definately stay again. We drive over from Calais and the journey takes about 8 /9 hrs so very manageable. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay in the Lothlorien apartment. Roger, Angela, Alex and Hazel B ( 2008 & 2009)

Lothlorien Chalet Feb09

Very comfortable chalet although decor dated. Attic bedrooms had creaky floors with low ceilings which caused a few bumps for my tall husband. 2 families and one couple stayed at the same time and there was plenty of space for everyone. Attic rooms would not be suitable for families with young children (under 6) but other bedrooms were spacious with HUGE cupboards. Comfy beds.
Clean surroundings. Lovely and warm, which was much appreciated after a superb day's skiing in and around Morzine. Chalet is about 10 minutes drive from centre of Morzine so unless you have a car, you would have to rely on chalet hosts for a lift, or taxis.
Village of Essert Romand was pretty - we tried one restaurant which did lovely food in huge portions.
Chalet hosts very friendly and looked after us well. Food was excellent.
Overall a reasonably priced chalet and excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend to friends.
