Bright and airy second floor apartment in a newly-renovated residence. Secure access from the street and 8-person lift. Wrought-iron balconies with views to Mont Chery and Nanteaux and wooden shutters to all windows. Comfortable living area. Well-equipped kitchen, including washing machine. Beautifully-appointed bathrooms and good-sized bedrooms. Located close to the butcher, baker, bars, restaurants, shops and post office, and just 250m from the village centre lifts. An excellent base, summer and winter, for enjoying the delights of this attractive mountain village and the surrounding area.

Les Gets dates from the 11th century and its name refers to the passages between the trees through which wood is transported to this day by the foresters. In the summer, the area is lush with trees and flowered meadows and criss-crossed by walking and mountain bike tracks. In winter, it is a popular skiing resort with slopes for skiers of all abilities and part of the huge inter-linked Portes du Soleil, the largest skiing area in the world. The many lifts serve not only skiers, but a smaller network is also adapted to carry bikes in summer. Les Gets is only 30 miles from Thonon on Lac Leman (Lake Geneva), with opportunity for water sports and for exploring the cities and towns along the lakeside - from Geneva and the lovely medieval village of Yvoire in the south to Evian, Montreux and Lausanne in the north. Other sightseeing possibilities include the historic town of Annecy with its lake and canals, and Chamonix with Mont Blanc and the impressive Aiguille du Midi cable car.

| Notes: | Winter notes:- The apartment is within 250m of the village lifts at the Mont Chery telecabine and the Chavannes. Ski equipment can be hired at a local shop and stored there overnight in their drying room. There is a dedicated parking space. Linen and towels are included in the rental rate. Summer notes:- During the summer, the swimming lake is open. It is set in parkland near the Adventure Park and can be reached from the apartment by taking the Little Train or one of the free shuttle buses (from outside the Mont Chery telecabine or the Chavannes lifts - both within 250m). In the parkland, there is also a children's playground, sand volleyball court and pony rides and, at the Chavannes, there is usually a bouncy castle and trampolines, as well as other amusements.
