Well equipped and presented ski / summer apartment just 100m from ski lift

This apartment is located in the lively, picturesque resort of La Grande Terche, part of the Portes du Soleil ski area. It is on the ground floor of the apartment complex L'Ourson which was built in 2004 in traditional French style. The apartment is furnished to a high standard with lots of storage space, a well equipped kitchen, TV & CD player. There is a living room with double sofa bed and dining area; kitchenette; double bedroom; sleeping gallery with bunk beds; bathroom with bath & shower & separate toilet . The balcony has good views down the valley and there is a private ski locker in the basement of the apartment block. There is private parking for one car with other public parking available. The apartment is around 100m from the ski lift & centre of the resort with its shops, bars & restaurants. There are also 3 ski hire shops, ski school & launderette. We will be happy to send more photos if you are interested and a full inventory. 2 double & 2 single duvets are included

La Grande Terche is a small traditional Savoyarde village , located 1km from St Jean Daulps, and 10 mins from Morzine. The apartment is well located in this lively mountain resort, with access to numerous larger resorts. La Grande Terche has its own ski area entering three different valleys, suitable for all abilities, and for the more adventurous there are the resorts of Morzine-Avoriaz and plenty more within a short drive. The village has several friendly bars/restaurants, serving a variety of good cuisine, together with a variety of bars. The village also has a super market, launderette, ski shops and ski school. The resort is just over an hour from Geneva, making it very accessible from the UK.

Skiing

The Ski Season runs from mid December to the end of April, peaking in February, which is the busiest period. La Grande Terche boasts some spectacular tree lined runs suited to beginners and intermediates, and if you need a change of scenery, For variation La Grande Terche is only 6km from Morzine and Ardents with its link to Avoriaz giving you access to The Portes du Soleil is the largest area of linked skiing in the world. One lift pass covers 650km of skiing including La Grande Terche. Included in the ski pass is a regular free navette bus service from La Grande Terche. During the summer of 2007, Snow cannons have been installed to ensure snow coverage down La Grande Terche ski run back to the village centre

Summer

During the months of July and August, La Grande Terche offers a whole range of activities for all the family from horse riding to white water rafting, together with various local festivals. The area is very popular for mountain biking enabling you to bike into Switzerland and back in a day taking in some fantastic rides.
