• Rental rates as shown above are weekly rates, Saturday to Saturday. 30% deposit secures your booking, and 8 weeks prior to departure you will be required to pay the rest plus a £300 security deposit which will be refunded in full providing there are no breakages or damage to the property and contents.
  Payment is also accepted in Euros.
  Linen and towels can be provided at £10 (15 Euros) per person

Exceptionally presented, Le Petit Soleil consists of 4 bedrooms, of which two bedrooms, a shower room, separate WC and storage cupboard are on the ground floor, large lounge with beautiful open fire (logs included) and dining area and separate kitchen on the first floor (all of which access a large balcony), with two further bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor (again with access to the upper balcony). The chalet is situated 50m from the nearest lift with a free bus stopping at the end of the drive to take you to others. The buses run from the Chalet every 20 mins and run late into the evening. With good snow cover, you can ski back to the chalet off piste, along tracks through the woods.

Piste Information

Chatel is in the heart of the Franco-Swiss domain called the Portes du Soleil. The domain, one of the largest in Europe, covers 14 resorts: 8 French, including Avoriaz, Morzine, Montriond, Les Gets, St Jean d'Aulps, Abondance and la Chapelle; and 6 Swiss: Champery, Torgon, Morgins, and les Crozets Val d'Illiez, Champoussin. All in all it has over 400 miles of ski slopes, well served by 208 ski-lifts all accessible by purchasing a single, all inclusive Portes du Soleil ski pass. The Chatel ski pass gives you access to 49 ski slopes (5 black, 16 red, 14 blue with a total length of 83km) as well as the Swiss resort of Torgon, the Corbeau section of the Swiss resort, Morgins, as well as the Braitaz and Tromby chair lifts of La Chapelle d'Abondance. In all 130 km of suburb, thrilling ski slopes! Chatel consists of two main sectors: Barbossine / Super Chatel and Linga / Pre-la-Joux, lying between 1100m and 2200m (3600 ft and 7200 ft).

New in 2006

The Z'ALP, or the Super Chatel Fun and Educational Activity Zone. Have a go on this course, which is about 250m long, cordoned off and secured with nets. This is where to come to measure just how fast you can ski, either with a professional ski instructor or on your own! Both fun and educational, this course is fitted with a timing device that shows skiers their speed on an electronic display. Summer details: As Le Petit Soleil is south facing, it receivesabove average sunshine. There are a full range of sports and activities including walking, mountain-biking, horse-riding, tennis, swimming, golf, rafting and many others. Lake Geneva with its array of water sports is just 40 minutes drive away.

Skiing Information:

Children - the resort offers a whole range of facilities for children from creches (open 7 days a week from 8.00am to 7.00pm), to ski schools (from the age of 3), to free access to a snowfield in the heart of the resort prepared and made safe for children; models of comic book characters watch them play. The children build igloos, go tobogganing and take part in snow sculpture competitions
