Bon Accord - Superb chalet in Les Gets, sleeps 10

This comfortable chalet is in a quiet and peaceful setting with stunning views over to Mont Chery. The chalet is spacious, bright and modern and situated in a commanding position in the Les Folliets area of this attractive and friendly mountain village. Well-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine for self-catering guests. All crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment provided. There are two double rooms ensuite and two twin rooms sharing a family bath/shower room. In winter, the chalet is ski-in and the free bus stop is only 100 m away. In summer, one of the many mountain bike tracks in the area runs close to the chalet. We have drying facilities, washing facilities for muddy bikes and safe storage for equipment, and can assist with ski or bike hire as well as, in winter, airport transfers, lift passes, ski lessons and child care.

Les Gets dates from the 11th century and its name refers to the passages between the trees through which wood is transported to this day by the foresters. In the summer, the area is lush with trees and flowered meadows and criss-crossed by walking and mountain bike tracks. In winter, it is a popular skiing resort with slopes for skiers of all abilities and part of the huge inter-linked Portes du Soleil, the largest skiing area in the world. The many lifts serve not only skiers, but a smaller network is also adapted to carry bikes in summer. Les Gets is only 30 miles from Thonon on Lac Leman (Lake Geneva), with opportunity for water sports and for exploring the cities and towns along the lakeside - from Geneva and the lovely medieval village of Yvoire in the south to Evian, Montreux and Lausanne in the north. Other sightseeing possibilities include the historic town of Annecy with its lake and canals, and Chamonix with Mont Blanc and the impressive Aiguille du Midi cable car.

    We take a 25% deposit and the balance (or full rental rate) is payable not less than 8 weeks before the date of arrival.
    Cots and high chairs are available to rent for 10 euros each per week. Cot linen is not provided.
  • Winter rates are for self-catered including linen and towels. Summer rates include linen only.

There are drying facilities and room for the safe storage of equipment. Winter notes:- We can arrange airport transfers, and advise on and assist with ski hire, ski lessons, lift passes and child care. Linen and towels are included in the rental rate. Summer notes:- The Les Gets swimming lake is located about 15 minutes' walk from the chalet in parkland near the Adventure Park, together with a children's playground, sand volleyball court and pony rides. Only linen is included in the rental rate and towels are not provided. There is a lush flower meadow to the side and rear of the chalet where guests may sunbathe and children play safely.
