Les Gets is a pretty alpine ski village in the heart of the Portes Du Soleil ski area, which has 650km of ski terrain across 13 villages in France and Switzerland.

Chalet Bleu is a charming 3/4 bed detached ski chalet, with open plan living room and dining area. The chalet is conveniently located on Rte Des Chavannes with less than 10 minute walk to the village, and on the free navette bus service.

Accommodation comprises: master double bedroom opening onto balcony, second double bedroom, third twin bedded room opening onto balcony, separate TV room/bedroom downstairs. Comfortable seating area with large 40' flat screen TV. Open plan dining area. Bathroom and separate toilet upstairs, and shower room and toilet downstairs. There is a secure garage, and ample parking.

Other facilities include: DVD, free serve SKY, microwave, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer.

Les Gets is a charming traditional ski village in the heart of the Portes Du Soleil ski area of the Haute Savoire in the French Alps. It is an hour's drive from Geneva through magnificent alpine scenery. You can ski or enjoy splendid walks in sight of Mont Blanc. Les Gets has it's own 18 hole golf course, with other nine hole courses in neighbouring villages. Ski-ing is superb for all ages and abilities. You can ski in France in the morning and Switzerland in the afternoon, via the Portes Du Soleil ski pass which covers over 650km of ski terrrain. There are plentiful ski schools, and the ski-ing slopes come right down to the village where in the evening under floodlights you can continue the fun toboganning or sledging.

In summer, Les Gets has plenty to offer. The beautiful swimming lake, and nearby adventure park is a must. The staggeringly amazing lake of Montriond is well worth a visit. A trip to Lake Annecy, nearby Yvoire at Lake Geneva is also a must. Enjoy your stay

Fantastic chalet for week holidays or season let

We rented Chalet Bleu for most of the 2011/12 ski season. We were living in Geneva just an hour drive away and went up for a weeks holiday and almost every weekend. The chalet is perfect, a real home from home.

The chalet was warm and cosy with a fully equipped kitchen, TV and DVD and WiFi. The beds were comfortable. Overall the chalet does a great job of mixing modern day comforts in a traditional style chalet.

The owners and their caretaker were all very helpful and dealt with any enquiry or request in a friendly quick and efficient manner.

We have a 4 year old daughter and usually drove up to the Chavannes for skiing and sledging and parked at the top (literally a 5 minute drive unless very icy) so we had a base to change boots, put the sledge in etc. The Chavannes is very child friendly with a purpose built childrens / beginners area including magic carpet and an area called le Grand Cry with 3 greens for children. From the Chavannes there is also easy access to blue, red and black runs. A good destination for mixed abilities. The town of les Gets is closeby (5 minutes down the mountain by car). It is a lovely Alpine town with plenty of restaurants, bars and enough shops for all your needs.

I would thoroughly recommend Chalet Bleu for its home comforts, great location and first class owners. Many thanks for a wonderful season. We will be back again!

We spent our new year holiday in this chalet in January 2011.
It is very comfortable, excellently equipped for self catering chalet.
Its location is very convenient. Easy access to the slopes and to the village.
Owners are very hospitality and doing the best service I have seen.
The slopes are interesting and well prepared, there are amazing views.
There is Les Getz mechanical musical instruments museum. I strongly recommend to visit its.
Exhibits will impressive for you.
With pleasure I recommend Chalet Bleu for really rest and skiing in mountains.

Chalet Bleu

My partner and I enjoyed a fantastic week at Chalet Bleu, and will return next year. We normally go to the Alps in the Winter so it was a joy to see the mountains in the Summer. The chalet is the most equipted self catering place we have ever stayed in and was a true home from home.

A great find

My sister has talked about this place and how great it is. She is absolutely right. The chalet is really comfortable and well equipped. It is an ideal base for skiing as a family and feels home from home. The TV in the lounge area is great to catch up with UK TV and to watch DVDs on. The children can watch their TV in the separate lounge if they dont want to be with us! It is an easy trip to the ski area of Les Gets. We simply took the car down to the village each day and had no problem parking on the street.

This is the third time my family have been to this Chalet and I have already invited myself next year!

Ideal base for skiing Les Gets/Morzine

Warm, comfortable, clean, well-equipped chalet that provided the ideal base for our skiing holiday in January 2010. There's ample space and a welcome feature is the large, wall-mounted TV with UK TV channels in the main living room and a separate TV lounge for the kids for those days when you don't want to go on the slopes. The garage is useful for storing all the ski gear...or for playing darts on the board provided.

It's a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll down to the village, or alternatively there's a free bus every half-hour that will also take you up the hill to the foot of the nearest chairlift. The chalet is in a pretty location and it's generally very quiet, except for the occasional night-time rumble of the snow plough clearing the road.

The restaurants in the village can be expensive and we tended to eat at one of the mountain cafes at lunchtime and then self-cater in the evenings. The Irish pub on the main street in the village has its own micro-brewery and is a good place for a few evening drinks.

Chalet Bleu more than lived up to expectations.
