Les Gets is a pretty alpine ski village in the heart of the Portes Du Soleil ski area, which has 650km of ski terrain across 13 villages in France and Switzerland. Chalet Bleu is a charming 3 bed detached ski chalet, with open plan living room and dining area, separate additional TV/playroom. The chalet is conveniently located on Rtes Des Chavannes with less than 10 minute walk to the village, and on the free navette bus service. It is also perfectly located for ski lifts. Accommodation comprises: master double bedroom opening onto balcony, second double bedroom, third twin bedded room opening onto balcony, comfortable seating area with large 40' flat screen TV. Open plan dining area. Separate TV/play room. Bathroom and separate toilet upstairs, and shower room and toilet downstairs. There is a secure garage, and ample parking. Other facilities include: DVD, free serve SKY, microwave, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer Safe storage for skis and mountain bike

Les Gets is a charming traditional ski village in the heart of the Portes Du Soleil ski area of the Haute Savoire in the French Alps. It is an hour's drive from Geneva through magnificent alpine scenery. You can ski or enjoy splendid walks in sight of Mont Blanc. Les Gets has it's own 18 hole golf course, with other nine hole courses in neighbouring villages. Ski-ing is superb for all ages and abilities. You can ski in France in the morning and Switzerland in the afternoon, via the Portes Du Soleil ski pass which covers over 650km of ski terrrain. There are plentiful ski schools, and the ski-ing slopes come right down to the village where in the evening under floodlights you can continue the fun toboganning or sledging. In summer, Les Gets has plenty to offer. The beautiful swimming lake, and nearby adventure park is a must. The staggeringly amazing lake of Montriond is well worth a visit. A trip to Lake Annecy, nearby Yvoire at Lake Geneva is also a must. Enjoy your stay

A LITTLE CORNER OF HEAVEN IN LES GETS

We struck gold when we found Le Chalet Bleu! It is rare when a description doesn't do the property justice. Firstly we were most impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of the owners. They were quick to respond to any queries and provided us with an excellent and most comprehensive 'brochure' , not only about the workings of the chalet, but about the town and surrounding sights. The instructions of how to find the chalet were perfect and we drove straight to the door - much better than any Sat Nav!

The chalet was very warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean and the accommodation was spacious (even for 6 adult travellers) and homely with all the creature comforts of home and never-ending hot water. Whilst the kitchen was small, it was well stocked with kitchen utensils, pots and pans etc and we were well able to prepare and cook dinners for 6 hungry skiers. Its location was also perfect, being within easy access of the town and the slopes, as well as enjoying great views over the spectacular countryside. Whilst we loved the snowscape, we guess that both chalet and town would be equally stunning in the summer months.

Les Gets itself is a picturesque town with everything anyone would need in a resort. From bars and restaurants to shops, you are welcomed by the friendly and helpful locals.

We will most certainly be back and would have no hesitation in strongly recommending Le Chalet Bleu to friends and family, and would only hope that they wouldn't be booking it when we want it!!

A comfortable, well equiped and spacious chalet

We have stayed in a number of chalets in Les Gets and this was very good. The chalet is well equiped for self catering. The sitting area and beds were very comfortable and the additional TV area was an added bonus. The whole chalet is clearly well maintained and very clean. Plenty of hot water and always warm. There is an open space just behind the chalet where the boys were able to build snowmen and sledge! It was useful to have the car with us but the local bus service runs regularly and stops just up from the chalet.

The information provided was very accurate and useful. The owner was very happy to answer any questions we had.
