Winter time at Chalet Koala:
Chalet Koala is well situated for the ardent lift, 5min by car or bus and from there the world is your piste! Head over to Chatel or across to Avoriaz or into Switzerland with 650km of pistes no two days will be the same. We can arrange your ski hire in advance just let us know your size and height and ability. We can arrange tandem parapenting, the adventure of jumping off a mountain and landing on the slopes on skis or maybe try huskie sledding, night skiing on the floodlit Plenney or a night time skidoo ride! For those brave enough there is ice diving on Lake Montriond! After all this excitement you can relax in our cosy chalet warming your toes by the log fire while a sumptuous three course meal is prepared for you using fresh local produce and washed down with fine wine and maybe a drink or two from our honesty bar before heading off to bed and planning your adventures for the following day.
Summer time Alps:
The Alps are so green in summer, the slopes turn to pastures with beautiful fauna and flora. The range of summer activities is wicked from mountain biking, parapenting, white water rafting, climbing, hiking, golf, fishing, swimming, canoeing, hydro-speeding, canoeing, archery, the list is endless! Morzine and Les Gets boasts some of the best mountain bike terrain in the world with first class championships been held each year in the area. The world VTT is to be held in Les Gets 6 - 13th Sept 2004 an event not to be missed.
You could just laze by a lake, paint or take photos of the incredible scenery. The Alps have something to offer everyone in summer.
Chamonix, Annecy and Geneva are all easy driving from your base at Koala. Sail, windsurf, wakeboard or soak up the sun on Lac Leman (Lake Geneva). Visit the spa town of Evian famous for it's water, or take a boat ride across the lake to Lausanne for a day on the Swiss side. The list is endless, it just goes on and on!

Ski:

The lift from Ardent, 5min by car, takes you to Linderat where your day begins with lifts to Avoriaz, Chatel and into Switzerland! The Ported du Soleil is suitable for all levels with sedate nursery slopes for the beginner or the rush of adrenaline whilst conquering the infamous 'swiss wall' for the hardened skier! Practice your 'big airs' in the snow parks or enjoy the thrill of skiing through the powder and trees into Linderats. There is something for everyone at every level, skier or boarder.
